Locational is phenomenal, rooms are great for what they are. Check in was a little rough, no on sent us a code to get into the building and the door was locked, so we had to get a local from a shop to call the number on the door for someone to let us in. They clean the room and make the beds everyday, staff is very friendly. Highly recommend staying here!

This wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. Convenient location in the heart of the city and next to the market. The room was very basic. The shower flooded the first time I used it because the curtain covered the hole and the water rose quickly. If you open the windows, there is the smell from a kitchen frying food outside. But it is budget accommodation in the heart of the city.

A nice hotel in the very center of Funchal with everything at hand. I was pleasantly surprised by daily room cleaning and towel change, as well as common kitchen where you can get utensils and plates. The building is in the old district so it's not the most modern, which goes for furniture as well. Everything was functional, the beds were comfortable. The sound isolation is not good, but in the night there is quiet period as well as no traffic on the street so no issues with noise. Only bad thing i noticed is extremely dim lights in the room, which made it a bit too dark after sunset.

Property is in a great location and clean. However the major problem is reception is only manned a few hours a day so the chances are you will have to call a Portuguese number upon arrival to give you an access code to get into the property. This was very stressful as my phone could not dial an international number so I had to borrow a phone.
