Clean. I’m starting with that word because apparently, in this part of our country, businesses treat “clean bathrooms” like it’s a luxury amenity worth bragging about. I didn’t get it… until we drove further east past this hotel and saw what “normal” bathrooms look like around here. Let’s just say I suddenly understood the hype. And then—plot twist—we hit Amarillo, Texas, and experienced our very first cockroach-infested hotel. Nothing says “welcome to town” like a six-legged greeter scurrying across the floor. Stay here as long as possible and get good rest and make sure your next stop isn’t the stay bridge suites IHG in Amarillo Texas. Let me stay on topic and give this hotel the credit it is due. This was the an EXPERIENCE. The outside of the hotel is classic like something you see in a movie. The staff super kind and friendly helpful.our room was the jimmy stewart. Adorable. We also had our own balcony with a neat view and lots of people just walking around the hotel enjoying the museam of movie star autographs. The food was awesome. Tbh the best food so far on Route 66. The bathroom clean and the beds were decent. Also really cool jewelry made by the Zumi tribe. Turquoise and gems…one bummer the pool was closed and the hotel is having renovations

Perfect stay

The motel room was excellent. The Route 66 theme was really good and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. No complaints at all.

This is a historic hotel so my room and bath were small. The room was nicely furnished though, the bed was comfy with nice bedding, and the A/C was cool and quiet.

I enjoyed my visit and would recommend. I stayed in the main hotel which has the feel of an old western lodge. The room was fairly small but it was very clean, had cool retro decorations, and the king bed was comfortable. Plenty of parking, quiet, and powerful internet. I ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant, both meals were delicious and reasonably priced.

An experience!

Staying at this historic hotel was a great experience. Loved the reception area, the decor was amazing and learning about the history of the hotel was great. The old fashioned lift was fun and it was good to have a gift shop on site. The room was well decorated. Our kids loved the western theme. The bathroom is small, but nicely done. The air con was quite noisy but there was a ceiling fan, so we used that instead. We were suprised at the area around the hotel, we thought it would be a nice place to explore, but it didnt feel that safe and there wasnt much to see.

A quick stay on a road trip. I was pleasantly surprised by the fun feel of the motel portion of this property. The retro decorations, record player, mini-fridge, wall designs and bright colors are nice contrast to hours of desert driving. The bed was comfortable.

Interesting very very very old hotel.

this is an old hotel living on what used to be. You'll notice that most of the people in the hotel have gray hair such as myself. Because all of us if we can still remember, remember all these one time famous people that stayed here. In a few years no one will know why this hotel was famous. Alsoas having been in the Mexican food business for years, those are the worst fajitas I've ever had. I should've chewed on my shoe. Also take note there's not an outlet in the bathroom. And the bathrooms are slightly larger than what you get on a decent airplane.😀😀
