Great property, but the mention of AC is half true. AC is only piped through the kitchen and master bed and bath. Leaving the upstairs to get very warm during the summer months. The kids struggled to sleep while we were there due to the warmth at night. I would definitely stay here during the winter, though. Everything else about the property was great for our family.
Excellent cabin. Very luxurious and spacious. The hot tub was excellent. The water has a mild sulfur smell, which is expected in this area. It didn't bother us and there was a water cooler of fresh water available. Thank you! Will definitely look to rebook next year!
The cabin and area were absolutely beautiful! We also couldn't say enough about how clean and comfortable the place was- even the bunk beds! The surroundings were all we could hope for- the town of Crouch was charming, and there was even a small farm stand where you could buy fresh eggs and firewood at the end of the drive. The open layout and wraparound porch were perfect for a group getaway.
Overall the cabin was clean but the dishwasher was full of what we assumed was clean dishes. The hot tub was not cleaned when we arrived and there was no propane for the bbq, the management company did send someone out to fix these issues. As we continued our 3 night stay we realized that not all the outlets worked and there was literally no insulation as we could hear everything from the bedrooms. As far as the toilet in the water closet on the main floor the area is so small you cannot shut the door while sitting on the toilet unless you are shorter than 5'3 and no larger than 150lbs. The guys could not shut the door to stand to pee. Given this is the only other toilet on the main floor without going into the master it is inconvenient and a horrible design. There are many bad reviews about the yellow water and the sulfur smell of the water which could easily be fixed by the owners putting in a water filter. I would not wash my blonde hair or get it wet with tthe got tub water while we stayed as I was concerned about my hair turning yellow or orange. All the dishes are yellow in color as well as the dishwasher which all needs replaced. The mattresses were hard and cheap. I would not rent this cabin again especially for the price they are asking. This cabin needs some serious work to fix these issues. we arrived
Good overall. Gas grill propane wasn't full and went off in the middle of cooking something. Exterior trash had a full can when we arrived, so that disposal was limited. Great wildlife. Deer, turkey, etc.
The place was comfortable with a beautiful view. The only issue we had was the household water was disgusting and extremely unhealthy. There was a bottled water dispenser however it was only half full therefore we had to make the trek into town to purchase more for basic usage. The water had a terrible odor therefore we were not comfortable showering or to use this water in any way. The dishes, sinks, toilets, etc are stained from it. This is a lovely place however I wouldnât recommend it to anyone until the water issue is resolved.
I enjoyed everything about this property and the surrounding area. The host was communicative and gave us a great rate to stay an extra day. I can't wait to return.
Our adult children came to visit us in Idaho and we decided to rent a cabin to let them enjoy the mountains that are Idaho, they both live in Austin - to celebrate 2 birthdays and watch the Superbowl. The cabin was perfect, clean, comfortable and well stocked including games and movies. We will be renting again come Spring or Summer and will bring our RZR to go trail riding.
We really enjoyed renting this cabin for my husbandâs birthday weekend! It was very clean and organized, and it had VERY comfortable beds. The kitchen had all of the amenities needed and we enjoyed hiking around the neighborhood up to the forest road trail and sledding down the hills. The only drawback is that the iron deposits in the water is very strong. When I poured my daughter a bath, it was orange and it had a very distinct metallic odor. There was a mention of the strong iron deposit in the descriptions of the cabin, but we did find it hard to drink, and even with the filter in the fridge, you could still taste it. I would recommend this cabin and would love to stay here again- but I also recommend bringing your own drinking water for the weekend. All in all, a great place to stay!
This was a great place, our family enjoyed it a lot!! I was surprised to find the water smelly and undrinkable. It is full of iron (better than sulphur though!) and we ended up buying water to drink and cook with. I was told they had a filter system in place, but filters need to be changed more frequently and/or upgraded to a more intensive filtering system. Aside from the water, it met most of our needs. Had thought weâd find some basic things like foil and plastic wrap, but got those with the water. We brought Kleenex, toilet paper and paper towels as we didnât want to run out - we are a family of 14. Overall, Iâd stay again, but would bring water and some basic paper goods to make sure we had them,
From the welcome sign & gift to the spacious cabin and beautiful views....this cabin was perfect for three families to gather for a holiday weekend! Enjoyed the hot tub and open living area & kitchen too! Plenty of sleeping areas and relaxation zones! Great family time!
Beautiful cabin in a quiet area, perfect for a relaxing getaway for our anniversary. Loved the fire pit and hot tub at night and the porch for morning coffee. The master bed could of been more comfortable but overall not much to complain about!
