Customer service

We booked a room for two adults and two children. Per instructions, we emailed after check in to see if we could get a handicapped accessible bathroom, if not we would need to bring a shower chair. I received a email back stating that my reservation was taken care of. On the day of arrival, we checked in, unpacked vehicle & rolled everything up to the room to find out there was only one king bed. It was frustrating but I went back down to the office to let them know if the problem. They told me that hotels.com are the ones who made the mistake on the booking and that I would either have to pay an upgrade fee or call hotels.com to get it straightened out. I was calm & didn’t throw a fit & walked out to make the phone call…a few seconds later the hotel clerk came out & told me they were going to figure it out for me. They proceeded to get me a room with 2 beds that also was handicapped accessible and did not charge me anything additional. Great customer service on their part.

The lodge was in a nice location not far from downtown Gatlinburg. The river behind the lodge was amazing to listen to after a long day. The room was very dark, the bathroom was not cleaned very well. There was hair all over the bathroom wall. The one bed did not have a mattress protector on it and the fitted sheet was so stretch out that it would not stay on. The pool was as described but it could use some fixing up. The breakfast was okay for a free breakfast but it would be nice if they switched it up some. They service the same thing everyday, when on a longer trip it just gets old and their was no fresh fruit like it states.

Overall it was good! The view out back of the room was beautiful! The room overalll was very nice. The bed was very comfortable. The only draw back was breakfast was very plain and simple. The coffee was extremely weak and watery.

Nice family spot with a great balcony view

It was a great stay! My boys loved having the pools and slides, the swings and grills were a very nice touch, having breakfast provided was awesome, and room service was there every morning if needed. Being brook side, having that view, and a fireplace really made this place somewhere we will come back to. It is a little dated and some maintenance on things like the ice makers, having a little more lightening in the room, and a little more to the cleaning detail of the room would be nice but these are things that were minor and wouldn't prevent me from returning. Great place to stay with the family!

Was not as advertised. Rooms were very dated and not clean. Needs to be refurbished! The breakfast was almost non-existent with only cereal and pancakes offered. We will not be back!! Very disappointed.

Affordable, comfortable, large, clean rooms

This is a budget motel in the Gaitlanburg area, but a great value for the money. It was conveniently located for many hikes in the Smoky Mountains National Park, but was further away from Dollywood and other attractions for young families. I liked the decor. The only tiny complaint I would make is that parking was tight and I booked a room with a fireplace, which I did not get. However, I would definitely stay here again. I would simply be more careful at check-in to get a room with a fireplace.

If this hotel doesn't have mold already, it will very soon. It was so insanely humid in the room to the point that we had to sleep with a window open... right along the creek, in summer. The tub had a crack/hole in it, and you could feel several spots get softer the longer you were in the shower. I fully believe there is, at the very least, mold under the base of this tub... The bathroom floors also had several soft spots/areas where the flooring was raised. But the ENTIRE hotel room's floors were incredibly sticky and gross. On top of this, I guess our AC unit was busted or something? No matter the temp it was set at, it just blew room temp air. It was probably 76+ degrees the entire night. If we had realized the extent of the issues, we would have requested a different room or potentially a refund. I absolutely would not be surprised if the hotel was aware of at least the AC unit but still stuck us in here since we were only staying one night. The creekside view was pretty and the front desk/check-in staff were very friendly, but l absolutely would not recommend staying here.

Great little lodge

Really cute lodge that's right on the edge of downtown Gatlinburg. We booked the honeymoon suite and were impressed by the quality of the lodging. The bathtub was very large and nice and the porch was so cute to sit on and watch the river at sunset. Highly recommend

The rooms shown on the website did not represent what room we received. The room was in poor condition. There was medication on the floor that was obviously overlooked by the staff while “cleaning”. The room was dank and dark with a urine smell. The ceiling on the deck was falling in. We left after one night and found other accommodations

Room by the river

Room was clean and comfortable. Balcony over the river was great! Bed frame was squeaky but mattress and pillows were comfortable. The ice machine never worked and the area by the elevators was dirty and needed sweeping. Need to update coffee machine. The metal coffee pot looked very old. Supplied us with extra towels. Location is back off the main drag so traffic wasn’t too bad
