After arriving where we had booked, we were told to have taxi take us to another apartment not nearly as nice and not where we wanted to be. Broken appliances, noisy street interrupting our sleep, owner would not answer texts, no clean towels or soap until we asked 5 days into stay. No washer dryer I had specifically asked for. Appliance instructions in French and not like any we had ever seen so couldn’t use them and no microwave. Dead plants on tiny balcony overlooking street instead of garden like we had booked and PAID for months earlier.
No door on dishwasher and couldn’t open it to use.

He cancelled our stay morning of our arrival

We were scheduled to arrive in Geneva on May 9 so I contacted the owner for check in instructions. Instead, a few minutes later, I received a cancellation from him. This left me scrambling to find a new place to stay at the last minute. This is very unprofessional. Most places have to be approved before they are rented out. I was not able to find a place in Geneva, but had to get a place an hour away, which was a great inconvenience.

Great location, excellent host!

We loved this wee apartment in Geneva! Located by the UN, it is far enough away from downtown to be quiet and restful, and close enough for a modest walk (about 25-30 minutes to Old Town). Grocery and pharmacy are nearby, and the view off the balcony is wonderful. Karim is helpful and responsive. We had a lovely time!
