Your room is above a bar, but our room was quiet. We were on the top floor and the curving staircase to the top is really cool. The pub is called The Claredon and signage is missing, but when you enter the pub, they know who you are. Everyone was super friendly and helpful.

Frustrating. The layout of this building is very poor. There is no apparent handicap access to the lobby; the doorways are very small; narrow stairs; there are a LOT of small hallways and doorways between the lobby area and the rooms. After a long day of travel, it is quite difficult to find your room, and the staff is not helpful nor informative. If you are handling your own bags (and I did not see any valets) getting through the maze, hallways, and doorways is difficult. Breakfast is expensive and not worth it. The room was nice, but there is not sufficient inventory of separate beds, and we had to pay extra for a King bed for two people. I would not stay here again, it was too expensive for what it was. There are better hotels in the same area.

This hotel was in a very good location. Not far from Glasgow Central station and facing the River Clyde. Lovely building, bedrooms well laid out and very clean. Very good choice for breakfast. Dinner can be had there at a reasonable price. Overall we had a very good stay.

Awful personal behavior

It wasnt the room that we have booked. The view was to walls and garbage when we asked for changing room the manager said we are free to cancel our booking with penalty charges (this means they will charge us all of the money even we wont stay) it was awful experience

Room was good, bathroom good size and excellent shower, breakfast had reasonable selection though they need more coffee machines. Only downside was the bed which we thought small and not very comfortable. But overall we enjoyed our stay.

No control of AC, sloppy mistakes and poor service

The rooms were fine, but this hotel refuses to allow the individual to control the air conditioning unit in your room. The unit says 19 degrees but it certainly felt more like 22-23 celsius. We had to call the front desk each time we entered our room to change our room temp, at which point we received half the staff offering to do so and the other saying it was impossible to go below 19 degrees (when their colleagues were able to get it to work down to 16 degrees). They did provide fans upon request though. Secondly, we paid for breakfast ahead of time but the front desk did not forward that information to the breakfast team. The breakfast team refused to consider that their system may be wrong and tried to gaslight us into that we didn't pay for breakfast. I luckily was able to sort things out with the front desk, but the breakfast team was not professional in considering they could be wrong - however, they did apologize for their conduct.

The property is right at the centre of the city. The room we were given was accessible room instead of double deluxe. We have a walk-in shower the leaks from the shower head.(clearly needs attention). The sink is not draining properly. The breakfast is mediocre. Bit much of coffee.I wouldn’t recommend it
