Don’t judge a book by its cover! This hotel was recently renovated with a brand new pool and spa. All the rooms were updated and the sleeping arrangements were very comfortable. We wished there was a mini fridge/microwave set up but it wasn’t necessary for our stay in Glasgow anyways. The radiator heat is something to get used to, but once you have it set, it’s great. Staff was incredible, check out was seamless and their restaurant/ bar had a great menu! Thanks for the memories, Argyle!

Room was spotless and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, especially as I was upgraded wirhout asking :-). Anna Maria and Scott were superb on reception, as was Eloise and the staff in the bar and restaurant area. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. And let's not forget the leisure facilities: a fully equipped, modern gym, plus a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi - bliss!

Hotel needs a bit of money spending on it to spruce it up and modernise the rooms but the staff were wonderful. Particularly the guy who served me in the restaurant three nights running - and called me young man(!) Such friendly, attentive and professional service.

The staff were very helpful and the facilities of the bar/lounge were very good. The room was spacious with all amenities that were needed and the breakfast was well presented and of a good quality. The reason for only giving four stars was that unfortunately on the first morning there was no hot water at 8.00 a.m although at 9.00 it was back on. There was also a boys football team, possibly under 11s, staying and although they were not badly behaved at all because they were all in the pool at the same time it was chaotic and noisy. Perhaps letting guests know in advance that the team was going to be using the pool at that time would have been helpful. I would then have tried to use the pool at a different time.
