I think one star is too much. When you first walk in the reception smelt like sewage. Then you go to the hotel room and find hole in lamp shade a horrible stain on the wall. Then you sleep the night and it's the worse mattress ever you feel the springs and everything I'm 27 years old I never had my bad hurt in that mattress. I never had to cut my holiday short before but I had to leave the night before on Sunday night and do the 5hr drive instead of doing 1 more night. I would like my 1 night refund.

The room was in decent condition and clean but a little dated. The staff in reception were excellent and very friendly. Breakfast started at 8 because it was a Saturday and we went down around 8:20am and there was hardly any food left. I had to ask when there would be more food put out. The staff were friendly when I asked but didn’t look very approachable. I have stayed here before and not had this experience so I’m hoping it was a one off.

Room was clean but curtain was coming off rail. It held together during my stay. Bathroom a bit cramped. Provisions in room were good. Good to have bar and restaurant in house. Staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. I phoned to extend my stay but got through to an admin centre which was much less helpful. In fact it was obstructive and no use at all. Happy to stay there again, easy to reach, comfortable and friendly inhouse.

A few small problems with the room- temperamental door lock, shower temperature unstable and sometimes very hot, basin slow to drain. Hotel seems generally run down. Breakfast disappointing as used to be good in Leonardo hotels. Now budget ingredients. Coffee almost undrinkable, orange juice watery, pastries stale, muesli lacking in fruit and nuts, sausages tasteless. Will be avoiding this hotel in future as there are better hotels in Glasgow for the same price.

Bin not emptied, roasting rooms with no control of heating. Paint flaking off badly on the ceiling in bathroom, curtains half way off the rails. Windows all speared and not been cleaned. Hair on the bath. Plug not working for bath. Also a smell of sewage. Expensive breakfast with very few low quality options.
