This place is broken. The front desk people were very friendly, of Indian origin. So many things about this property was simply broken. I would not recommend it until something happens (like fixing the dysfunctional things everywhere.
The hotel is nice and conveniently placed near the Texas tech campus. However youâre asked to leave a $100 deposit. We did and didnât receive all of our deposit back. When I called the hotel to ask them. Virginia the manager states that we had 3 people eat breakfast so we were charged and for an extra guest. Entirely not true. We didnât eat breakfast there the 2 days we were there and we were moving my daughter out of her dorm and we stored some of her bags in our room. So because they âinvestigatedâ they saw 3 people on the camera they kept posting our deposit. So if youâre ok with them keeping your deposit take a chance staying here. Oh and their housekeepers when we did pass them in the hallways they were not friendly at all. When we left there were 3 housekeepers sitting the lobby waiting and when I dropped my keys off in the bowl that was left on the counter. One lady got up gave me an ugly look and took the key that I had left out to the bowl and walked away. No one to greet and check us out then maybe I would have been told that they werenât going to be giving me back the whole amount.
Showed up and was charged and given a key card to the room. When I got to the room the handle looked like it had been pried open. The door was being held open by the door stopper. When I looked inside the room was a mess sheets rumpled as if someone had slept in them. Went back to the desk, advised the clerk he said he would go check. Promptly came back and said he'd issue me a new room. Had to wait 30 minutes for it to be cleaned. Went to the new room. It was okay for what you're paying but honestly it's in need of an update. The headboards are not fastened to the wall they had a piece of cardboard wedges between the wall and headboard. Couldn't move on the bed without it banging up against the wall. The tub looked like I'd need a tetanus shot if I used it. Portions were rusted. If you have epilepsy don't turn on the light to the bathroom it constantly flickered. Only one lamp and one light fixture worked in the whole room. Wires from a broken phone line were hanging out beside the bed. Definitely didn't match the picture used on the Expedia booking page. The contrast between the outside of the hotel and the inside is striking. Probably wouldn't stay again but I guess it's good if you just need to sleep for a night.
I showed up to the hotel where I made a reservation and nobody was at the lobby to assist me. I didnât get to stay in the room because nobody was working . The owner said the lobby closed @9pm but my reservation was still submitted. Nothing ever said it was closed
This property is unprofessional. I got a room to just show up and nobody be there to assign me a room. Then on top of that they still charged me and didnât give me a refund.
The place smells moldy and dungy and the shower curtains and bathtub showed it. The bathroom did not have toilet paper. You cannot phone front office, so be ready to walk. This place might have been nice 10 years ago or better, but now it's run down
