Very rustic, small cabin, as described. Log bed was very uncomfortable, difficult to get in or out of due to side log frame. Definitely not for older folks!
This cabin is in a great location. Easy walk into town. There was very early morning construction next door during our stay, which was a bummer but not the fault of the cabin... Very tiny cabin, but my son and I had enough of room. He is 6'3 so the ceiling was very low for him. The beds were comfortable, the cabin was clean, and the fridge is big. On the down side the shower is VERY small and the kitchen is tiny. It is really meant for just one person at a time. overall, we were very happy with it, and would recommend.
Had everything we needed for a family of 6 and more. Wonderful place, cozy and welcoming. Couldn't ask for better with the view and small walk to get to downtown.
This cabin was a fabulous place. It had everything we needed. There were a couple of issues (e.g., with the TVs, etc.), but Janet responded quickly and worked with us to resolve the issues. Some things that I especially appreciated were the washer and dryer, the full-size refrigerator (with ice trays), and the location in walking distance to downtown. Highly recommend!
Had an awesome stay at this cute, little cottage. We spent most of our time in RMNP and this was a perfect home base. It's very close to the park so early starts before the 9 am when entry permits are required was easy. Close to the market and dining options in town.
What a tremendous location, walking distance to everything in town, and right outside of the national park. Cabin had everything we needed. Would 100% recommend.
This place is perfect if you are an outdoors lover. The cabin is great for overnights and the basics. Very close to Rocky Mountain National Park with access to many trails. Owner is very responsive.
Property was exactly as described: clean, comfortable, and so close to downtown. Janet, the host, was lightning fast with responses and an absolute joy to work with. I will definitely stay here again â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Beautiful place and location. Perfect size for a couple but there were plenty of visitors in the log book that had a great time with more than two people. Gorgeous views definitely walkable to town and restaurants though the hill up to the property may be challenging for some. This was perfect for our ten year anniversary trip. Thanks for having us!
Iâve been coming to Grand Lake for 20 years. This place offers nice ambiance and a good place to sleep. Itâs just a short walk to town (a couple blocks). Itâs really a perfect setting to get away from the town. Very quiet at night with lots of stars in the sky. This was a nice place to stay with 2 smaller kids and a couple.
We had a terrific visit to Grand Lake, and it started months earlier when we made our reservation with host. She was very quick to reply to our questions and helpful as weâd never been to the area. She was communicative in the months leading up to the stay and throughout as well. Our kids (6, 8) absolutely loved playing just outside the cabin, and it allowed mom and dad to relax and read or rest. The town is darling! We canoed, swam, and attended a show at the Rep - highly recommend! Pay attention to the size, as it is cozy! We are fine because our kids are young, and we spent most of the time outside; however, as our kids grow, we may need a bigger space. Only other comment was the odor upon entering, but checked with owner who said it was normal. You get used to it, and youâll have your windows open most likely anyway as there is no AC. Great experience and definitely plan to revisit Grand Lake. Enjoy your time in the cozy cabin!
The Cozy Cabin was a good home base for our activities throughout Grand County. We enjoyed hiking, wildflower hunting and were close to activities at the YMCA at Snow Mountain and Winter Park Resort. A moose greeted us in the front yard one afternoon. In the burned out areas of Rocky Mountain National Park, we saw huge herds of elk and at least 9 moose. Grand Lake is a great place to visit. We especially enjoyed the Blue Water Bakery and the Sagebrush BBQ and Grill.
