Beautiful property in a very private natural setting. Was a perfect place to spend the weekend with family after graduation. Everyone had a great time and the house was clean and the beds were comfortable!
The property was absolutely beautiful. This is perfect for a space away from town as it is practically in the middle of the woods. It is a little far from town (about 20 mins) but it wasnt too bad. Additionally the path to the river is pretty steep, so it is a bit of a hike to get up and down. The beds were comfy and the living areas were super spacious. We had a bachelorette get away here and we would definitely come again for a summer getaway.
Great private property. All the amenities and extremely clean. We enjoyed the serenity and nature. Would recommend to anyone who is looking to unplug while still being close enough to access Lake Michigan and surrounding areas l.
A beautiful property and home. Spacious. Sprawling acreage. Peaceful hiking. Quiet area. Just what we needed. Great for families.
Stayed for five days without internet. The hosts/owners were attentive and communicative, but were never able to solve the problem. They discounted our stay, which we appreciated, but we would never have booked such an expensive week in such a beautiful place without internet, and the need to drive into town every time we needed to connect.
It was a hot week, and the thermostat upstairs controls then entire home, which meant that either the main floor (living area) would be too warm, or the lower level (bedrooms) would be too cold. The owners brought a space heater for use in the room of our seven-month old grandson.
Additionally, the main sliding door to the deck was broken. A minor inconvenience (as we used the side door), but annoying all the same.
Having said all that, we would certainly recommend.
The place was beautiful, clean, not cluttered, photos were pretty accurate. Beautiful outdoor views. The only suggestion is that they provide more silverwear. Otherwise, no complaints, we all had a great time!!
The house is beautiful, and the location is fantastic. The walk down to the river is further than expected, and if it's rains it could be slippery. But overall it was a fantastic house with all the amenities.
It was like our own little island of fun....most of us never left the property during our stay! Lots of room, comfortable beds, plenty of seating. Could have used more bath towels...only one per person. Thank you for plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, trash bags, dishwasher pods. Disappointed in the cleanliness of cabinets and refrigerator...had to scrub pots before using. Basketball net, back door onto the deck in need of repair. HVAC on both floors operates on upstairs thermostat only...had one night of 58 degrees on the bottom floor with three of the bedrooms. Didn't realize that the downstairs thermostat was a "dummy" until we called...owner showed up first thing in the morning to explain and check on it. Had lots of fun and wonderful memories made!!!
This property is beautiful, clean, lots of privacy, with so much to explore outside in the woods and by the river! Its a great place to keep kids off of their electronics while exploring outdoors. But there's also plenty of room to stretch out in the cabin and unwind after the day is done. This was everything our family wanted for a quick weekend getaway!
We had an amazing stay here at this house. It was super cozy with the snow all around. We enjoyed the fire and the hot tub every day. The primary bedroom was very comfortable. The driveway was a little rough with our minivan the first night. If there is a lot of snow you may need AWD/FWD. We would definitely return.
Stayed here for a long 3 day weekend. Area is quiet and secluded. Residence was as pictured. Fully stocked kitchen with utensils and tools. Has blender and coffee pot. Rooms were clean with fresh linens. Showers are small but adequate. Fire pit was huge and lovely. Plenty of fire wood to enjoy! Outdoor kayaks did work, some are missing the carry strap. Has a small trailer, requires 2" ball that you can tow kayaks with to a boat launch about 1.5 miles away. The river is a lovely strip of sandy beach with a babbling brook coming directly into the Muskegon river. The walk down to the river is VERY STEEP. You will need shoes or hiking boots to make it down there. If you are not reasonably fit you will be short of breath walking back up to the house. If you are going to try to take the kayaks back up to the house from the river bank, it will be a two person job or use the provided kayak taxi to get them up the steep hill. My 15 yo son and I found this tiring. Esp with the 4 kayaks. Tried fly fishing along the property but did not have any bites. Overall, a nice piece of property to stay at but you will have to work to get down and back up from the river. If it was winter with snow, I would not attempt to go down to the river.
My family absolutely loved our stay at the riverbend ranch. The picturesque views were simply breathtaking, and the tranquil sound of the wildlife was so soothing. The amenities provided were top-notch, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The attention to detail in the decor and furnishings didn't go unnoticed, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. There were plenty of activities and games for the whole family. The location was ideal, offering both a peaceful getaway and convenient access to nearby attractions. Without a doubt, a perfect 5-star retreat that left us rejuvenated and already planning our next visit!
Would highly recommend this beautiful location. Had a great time with family. Location was great. Beautiful views! So much to do. House layout was great. Kitchen fully stocked. I can go on and on. Thanks again!
Wonderful spacious place ! Great communication with hosts. Kitchen stocked with everything we needed to cook family dinners. A small hike to riverfront, but nice once you get there.
I cannot say enough good things about this home. It is just amazing. The home is very clean, beds are very comfy, and the views are just beautiful. Loved drinking coffee in the morning on the front porch watching the deer, wild turkeys and all the wildlife. The dock on the river is so very peaceful, we never wanted to leave. If you are looking to get away from it all this is the place. We will definitely be booking another trip in the fall. This home has everything you could ever need.
We hosted our familyâs annual Easter celebration here! The location is private with beautiful views all around. The kids enjoyed an outdoor Easter egg hunt, playing ping-pong , soaking in the hot tub, playing basketball in the driveway, the hiking trails, with evening sâmores around the fire pit & Family board games. The house & beds are clean & comfortable with soft linens. The basement is perfect for cuddling up and watching movies! Such a relaxing and memorable weekend.
An absolutely beautiful home. Private. Scenic (even in February). Clean. Tasteful decor. Comfortable beds, couches, chairs, etc. Everything here just oozes relaxation. The property owners were fantastic with answering the few questions we had before arriving. Once there, there was nothing to ask. Everything is set up to accommodate. There is a house booklet that answers any questions & was helpful to us when we wanted to turn off outdoor lights to let the stars blow our minds from the hot tub. There are hundreds of Vrbo homes... We will return to this particular one multiple times. The Riverbed Ranch is truly a special slice of heaven in Michigan.
