Great indoor / outdoor visit at Renata's

We brought our two adult kids and their partners, as well as our two beloved dogs for a first time long weekend in the Poconos. When we arrived, everything was sparkling clean and welcoming, with an extremely well-equipped kitchen -- and Renata was helpful answering the few questions we had.. It was a perfect setup for our group - who adventured out in the mornings / early afternoons, and then returned to hot tub / BBQ / fire pit, (roasting marshmallows and just visiting). We had memorable, relaxing dinners around the lovely outdoor table and retired to comfortable beds. Saw lots of early morning deer and midday hummingbirds around the property. We highly recommend Renata's home away from home.

Everything you need for a weekend getaway

Came here with a bunch of friends. This place had everything we needed. Good size kitchen and living space. Beautiful deck and outdoor hang situation. Hot tub was wonderful, especially since it wasn't the warmest of weekends. Close to the lake! We went kayaking and watched the live bands on the lake during Wally Lake Fest! The wifi in the house was great, but it was hard to get a signal in the town, which was a little difficult when it came to directions.

Would Not Stay There Again

We were so excited for our yearly trip to Lake Wallenpaupack and were very disappointed having several issues. First off, we had to deal with Renata’s companion, Kristoff. From the start he was pushy and an obvious deal maker. He told us their boat was in the shop so the dock was empty and we could use it as we brought our own boat with us. Then he later tells us it will be $400, after we had committed to using the dock, and another $100 for a pet fee that he insisted was never part of the VRBO pricing. We were shocked but told him to go ahead and charge our card on file with VRBO. He then told us cash or PayPal only. We realized quickly what his motives were. The listing needs to be updated to reflect the actual sleeping arrangements. Bedroom #3 listed two king beds but in actuality is a single bed with a trundle underneath. There are no king beds in this house. There is also no A/C. There is one portable unit in the living room which did nothing to cool down the house. I would not have chosen this house had I known there weren’t enough beds for us or A/C. We also lost water and then all power one evening. No communication at all from our hosts so we had to call the community manager who we searched online for. Eventually Kristoff returned our message and dropped off one flashlight. All in all, we would not stay here again. We work hard and take one vacation a year. This experience was not what we paid for and we have never in all the years of using VRBO ever had to deal with a host like Kristoff.

Great Few Days at the Lake

The house was exactly as represented, with a beautiful deck and plenty of space for two couples, two infants and dogs. Check in and out was super easy and the hosts were always quickly to respond. We also rented their boat for the day and had a really great time on the lake. Ton of fun.

A Great Family Vacation Spot

We spent 5 days at this property and rented the boat and golf car with our two kids and had a BLAST. The boat really made the trip (brand new pontoon with tow capability), the kids loved the golf cart rides and the park down by the marina. The house was well kept, clean and comfortable. The outdoor area felt private despite being in a neighborhood. It was extremely quiet and relaxing. The wildlife was so fun to see. If you are looking for a relaxing and fun family vacation and enjoy cooking out- this is the spot. The folks that run everything were extremely courteous and responsive. We will definitely visit again in the future.

Hidden Gem

Wonderful host! Hidden gem! Definitely would stay again. Me and my girlfriends created a self care retreat weekend. Perfect place to stay lots of space to spend together but also quiets nooks throughout the property if you want some alone time. Felt like a true retreat plenty of privacy from neighbors. The property and attention to detail from the host was wonderful. The welcome treats were very sweet . I especially loved how clean it was. Almost immediately at checkout time they came to start clean. It was nice to see how they started on cleaning the hot tub . Made me feel great knowing that they do a good job on maintaining cleanness of the hot tub in between stays. Definitely recommend .

Absolutely perfect stay!

Our stay was lovely and peaceful! My friends and I celebrated a bachelorette weekend and Renata's place was the perfect spot. It was very clean, quiet and accommodating. The hot tub was very large and super relaxing (and very easy to use). I'd definitely recommend Renata's place!

Landing Pad during Family Reunion

This is a wonderful property. It is more beautifully situated than the photos show. The inside of the property is well appointed and very efficiently laid out. The game room is a nice bonus. The outside areas are lovely -- especially the dining area and the hottub. Even though you're in a neighborhood with properties all around you, you actually feel like you're in your own secluded space because of the tree plantings and then the lovely design of the deck and canopy, etc. Two notes / suggestions. (1) The kitchen could use a toaster. (2) The AC unit in the living room works well. We were unclear, however, whether the automated wall-mounted thermostats that are in each room could regulate the temperature. All in all, we were DELIGHTED with this property.

Beautiful property. Pictures are right on. Nice area to go for walks. It was very quiet. We didn’t see many people. Hot tub worked great. There were 5 of us. With having 2 bathrooms I would suggest a mirror in the bedrooms to do hair/makeup. Time spent on the decks were lovely. The owner met us here for check in. Showed us a few things and told us if there is anything we need to let her know. She had arrangements of fresh flowers, as well as silk sitting around. Everything was very clean! Thank you. We appreciated that so much. We would definitely stay here again. Everything from booking to checking out went smooth. All we had to do to check out was to put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher and bath towels on a pile. We appreciated that very much. Don’t hesitate to book. So glad we did.

A comfy and cozy weekend by the lake

My husband four children and I very much enjoyed our weekend stay at this adorable cabin by the lake. The marina is only a short walk from the cabin, with a playground for the kids and a very clean community swimming pool. The cabin itself was so thoughtfully furnished with everything your family could need for a comfortable stay. We loved the hot tub and the outdoor dining area. The beds were all very comfortable and the host was very responsive to all my questions.
