The view of the lake from the cottage was amazing. I found the cottage well stocked and my guests really enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat. Nancy made herself available as needed. Would definitely return if available.
Great property with great views. Great community around the location. Extremely clean and well kept. Would recommend a stay. Nancy's communication was fantastic.
My mother spends the summer here it was nice to have a place to visit close to her to stay at versus a hotel miles away
Nice property clean everything you need is there just bring food and drinks enjoy this little peaceful gem
This property is paradise. The name does not give it enough credit. If you stay here, you won't want to leave. The view from the porch was so beautiful. I'm proud we got to spend our wedding night here and am so grateful for the experience/memories.
Its very quiet and sitting on the deck overlooking the lake. Greenville is a wonderful town to go on walks and fish the river. We went to relax and dud just that . Thank you Nancy!
We loved out stay at Nancy's cottage. It's right on the lake, and the description is exactly as expected. Great lake access, wonderful porch to sit on and relax. Very clean.
Kitchen has all the essentials. Bedrooms were comfortable and simply equipped. Nothing fancy, just a comfy, cottage feel. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom and shower are great. Plenty of hot water and water pressure.
Neighborhood was quiet and very friendly. Folks out walking waved as we drove by. Plenty of kids around, and the cottage is near a public park and what appears to be a public boat dock. Nancy has all the water toys you might want to use. We never did, but it's available.
Highly recommend, and would love to stay at her place again in the future. Thank you so much!
The cottage was tidy and neat. The scenery was gorgeous, and we were pleased to learn that there was a paddle boat and 2 kayaks at our disposal! The hostess was very sweet.
Cute cottage with everything you need!
We rented this cottage for the weekend when we and another family moved our sons to Greenville for college. My husband checked us in and met the host Nancy who was flexible with check in time and very responsive. She met him there and showed him around remarking that they just had the electrical updated. The dimmer switches for the lights and ceiling fans was a nice touch!
Beautiful view right on Lake Wabasis. Sit on the deck or Florida room to enjoy the view, or even when doing the dishes from the kitchen. We saw some big fish pulled out! Enough parking in the drive for 2 cars, more down the hill. Front door is heavy and slams if you let it so keep that in mind. Small tv in the living room is all you need. Lots of seating throughout the home plus both up and downstairs. No air conditioner in the master but there are a few fans and if you open the windows, we didnât need one. Beds were comfy. 2nd bedroom has the window air conditioner, which could cool the house if need be. Tons of windows to open throughout for a great breeze. Small bathroom does the job. Kitchen is stocked enough with most things. New fridge and stove. Fridge is empty of condiments, so bring what you need. Bbq grill is small but works well, propane provided. We didnât use the water toys but saw them with life jackets. Could use more lighting outside under the deck but we brought out a little lantern and that worked enough. Watch for mosquitos! Overall a great stay!
My group had a delightful time in Nancy's Lake Wabasis abode! The location was absolutely perfect for our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the easy access to the lake, the availability of kayaks/paddleboat for our use, and the quiet setting. The house is impeccably clean and well laid out.
Our only comment would be to make sure that you plan for the weather accordingly depending on the time of year. We brought some additional fans with us that made a world of difference keeping the air moving in the cottage.
We had a wonderful time, and would definitely consider staying there again!
We had a wonderful time, reading on the deck, kayaking, paddle boating, playing cornhole, and basketball. Adorable, comfortable accommodations. Wonderful host. Great location. Thank you!
We only had two nights to spare but we wished we could have stayed one or two more! Unfortunately a bad storm had knocked out the power just before our arrival. Luckily Nancy keeps a plan in place for bad weather and already had candles and the generator for the water going when we got there since it was after dark. We made such a fun night of it that ended up forgoing the lights and using just candles the second night even though the power was back on. Nancy was very easy to communicate with during our stay and was quick to bring us tin foil when weâd asked to borrow some (thanks again!). The neighbors are really welcoming and friendly. The back deck and yard offer lots of privacy and space for grillinâ and chillinâ. If we had one more day with good weather we would have loved to have taken advantage of the lake amenities.
House and property was perfect for our family that came over for July 4th celebration. We used the kayaks and paddle boat. We had a good vacation and stay.
This rental was very nice. Very clean and cozy. It is in the back of a little park which was hard to find but we found it! Beautiful view of the lake and a nice porch looking out to the lake.
The view is sublime⊠beautiful trees, grass lawn, proximity to the water⊠but the property itself was mid. We arrived after dark, to be led to a mobile home park/campground and a âyou have arrived at your destination .â What?! Where are we? Luckily Nancy was available by phone and came out to meet us. She was adorable and very helpful showing us around the cabin.
The property is cute, and a great place to stay if youâre not looking for high aesthetic. Simple, homey and sparsely decorated in a very âbeach friendlyâ indoor/outdoor way. That is to say, all the seating was patio furniture, much to my wifeâs chagrin when she was up with insomnia (no doubt because she was seething that I had booked this place after she had told me no way when she reviewed the photos).
However, the view slowly won her over and we enjoyed watching our 7 year old play happily on the shore, pulling weeds from the mucky shoreline, chasing frogs, and digging in the sand on the semi public beach. The kayaks were great and we spent a long afternoon touring the gorgeous lake.
Will we be back? Wife says no, but the kid and I didnât care as much about the tiny bathroom, inconsistent hot water and warnings to not use the toaster and microwave or a curling iron and air conditioner at the same time.
Itâs rustic, adequate, quiet (we were there off season, though) and a great retreat. Also, my wife admitted the blue and white paint was pretty.
We enjoyed our stay. I was surprised it was on backside of a older trailer park however once inside house did not see the park. The house was clean and has beautiful view of lake. Lots of outdoor seating and was offered use of paddle boat and kayaks. Only had 1 issue with popping electric fuse in house due to too many things running at once. Nancy was there to fix issue in a timely manner. Quiet area.
Great quiet setting, with excellent views of the lake and sunsets. Easy access to dining and attractions. Room to stretch out and enjoy the enclosed porch or the new deck.
