This was a last minute booking, we were supposed to attend a wedding at Lake Lure, everything got moved to Greer! The owner was accommodating with having more than 8! The house reminded my brother and I of the house we grew up in. It all worked out well and we all lived the house!
The house is super cute and very roomy. It is located very close to downtown Greer. We appreciated that it is a historic home. The only negative is that the traffic noise next to the home is noticeable. We had a fabulous stay and enjoyed our visit.
The property had black mold in the shower. Exposed wiring, unfinished wall, windows did not lock, stairs are so steep you practically had to crawl upstairs. The second bathroom is right next to the washer and dryer and door to the backyard. We tried to contact the owner a few times about these issues. There was no response to this day. We contacted Expedia / Verbo and they did not help either. We had to get a hotel for our stay because there was no way we were going to expose our children and us to black mold and other unsafe issues in this home.
We were in the area for our grandsons graduation. We enjoyed the quaint town of Greer. The only issue was the home is right next to a busy street. Once we were asleep it didn't bother us.
This is a beautiful home in a great location. We were minutes from every place we needed to be. The owner immediately responded to my questions and went above and beyond preparing the house for us. And loved the porch swing!!!!
