Stayed here for two nights a couple weeks ago. Chose Hotel Velvet based upon a recommendation. Very clean, upscale, quiet, accommodating. In a nice area of the city. Staff were charming and professional. Comfortable beds. It's sort of expensive but I honestly feel like the hotel could he charging higher room rates. I'll likely stay here again next trip to Guadalajara.

Wonderful hotel

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for two straight weeks and really enjoyed everything about it. The only complaint I would have is the WIFI on the second floor. Other than that, the service was excellent, the food was wonderful and we would definitely come stay here again.

Tried to put me into a lesser room than booked, claiming they were fully booked. After expressing my displeasure, they suddenly found me the room I booked. Room service menu was good with lots of options. Pathetically they demanded an extra deposit for twine glass!
