The rooms were newly renovated and very clean. The kitchen was very functional new, full size appliances. Communication was excellent with clear directions for the offsite parking just a couple minutes walk away. We used Uber to travel into south end and downtown and it was never more than 10 and took about 10 minutes.
Overall a positive experience, the apartment was clean and well set up. The North End was really fun to explore and the cafe downstairs was a nice bonus! My only points of feedback would be to clarify in the property posting that there is only street parking (not parking onsite), I had to pay for parking in a lot nearby. As well, to clarify that the washer/dryer is not in the unit itself. Other than that, we had an excellent stay!
Cozy place & walkable to all main attractions. Host very responsive.Sobeys 20 minute's walk.Cons : Noise from street up to midnight but good set of LOOPS earplugs & it made sleeping possible. Mattress unfortunately not comfortable (sank & squeaky). Hopefully host will change.
Lipstick on a pig. Most uncomfortable bed Iâve ever slept in. Like sleeping in a noisy hammock. You can hear street noise even with the window closed. No blackout curtains so light beams in early. No security chain on door. No dish cloths, no facial tissue, no face towel, and no coffee. Nice enough reno, but details are what matter. Itâs a VRBO unit, so you have to join that to be able to communicate with the host.
Located near downtown in the north end of an extremely walkable city. Clean and modern. Overall great place.
Minutes away from the greatest bakery on earth.
Functional kitchen with basic kitchenware. Laundry machine in the hallway was handy but always seemed to have a load of sheets inside both the washer and dryer.
Bedroom overlooks gottingen so can get a bit noisy if you sleep with the window open. It was fine with the window closed.
It is a fantastic little unit with easy access to downtown and many other sites around Halifax. The suite was clean with all the amenities we needed. We also really appreciated the air conditioner! The area of town is a bit undesirable but nothing compared to where we came from and at no point did we feel uncomfortable or unsafeâgreat communication from the host and an overall wonderful experience visiting Halifax for the first time.
