The house itself could be ok. The beds were comfortable and enough amenities for coffee and food were there for a typical rental. The location is convenient for the williamsburg/norfolk areas and its close to bigger stores to stock up. The hampton area isnt the safest in VA but the little plan the house is in seems ok. You are close to the hospital so sirens can be heard from time to time, but it wasnt a big deal. The house itself was dirty and needed a good cleaning. There was food under all the furniture in the living room which caused ants on the first day. There was stuff on all the walls and the counters were dirty. The whole house was missing lightbulbs, 3 of 4 bulbs in the living room and 3 of 4 in the bathroom were all just missing and not replaced from fixtures. The AC is using a nest thermostat and if it doesnt sense you after so long, it turns the AC to 76 degrees. We were there in 100 degree weather and the upstairs was really hot because the thermostat is on the first level. No pets at this property but bags full of dog poop, i hope, in the backyard and a "fenced" in yard thats held up by cinder blocks. Overall the house wasnt cozy at all and felt like a quickly put together rental property with a bad cleaner. Its also listed to have a garage, but you dont have access. The drywall work was bad, walls are thin, switches that do nothing, and little to no thought put into it. I wouldnt stay here again.
Our Family of 6 and two small dogs stayed for the week while our daughter competed in the NGA National Gymnastics Championships. The house was close to a shopping plaza with amazing restaurants, and the owner was very responsive. Fenced in yard was perfect for the dogs. The neighbors were friendly as well.
My entire family (two adults & two teens), plus my dad & his service dog stayed here, and it was beautiful. The bedrooms were great with comfortable beds, the kitchen was nice and had everything we needed in it, and the living room was fantastic. My kids loved the foosball table, and all of us really loved the very comfy couches and recliners. There was a huge projector screen we were able to watch shows/movies on, which was really fun for the whole family. If I ever go back to Hampton, VA, I'll definitely be booking this house again!
Property was clean and welcoming and allowed us as a family to stay together after being displaced for work being done in our home. Loved that we could bring our dog as pets are oart of the family. Would love to see a solution for big openings in fence( i understand from host its a city regulated thing) but made it difficult to allow a pet in the yard without running off. Would love to see a fan in master bedroom and an iron and ironing board. These thjngs arent major but just noted. I had to add an extra day at the last minute and that was smooth. Overall the experience was pleasant and appreciated as being displaced for emergency home repairs was frustrating. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others coming in the area.
The property was excellent for our stay, very comfortable and located with easy access to many services and restaurants. The host, Ebrahim, was very responsive and supportive. Definitely recommended this stay!
Communication was excellent, listing was accurate, price was fair. Great stay!
The neighborhood was great - we appreciated that the property at the end of a road, so there werenât many cars to navigate with our little guy. The neighbors were also very friendly - a nice bonus!
