Place was as advertised! We loved staying there. Comfortable living areas, bedrooms, and great kitchen. We would 100% stay again. Maybe one of the best house we have ever rented.

Its a great space for our family of 10 (adults and one 2 year old grandchild)we made great use of the sauna/hot tub, grill, kitchen, family room and all of the beach toys and wagon! We definitely want to return here when we visit again!

Location is Perfect!!

This home is in the perfect location in Hanalei Bay. Just a short walk to the beach access and a short walk to the town (restaurants, shops, market, etc). The views from the home are amazing including mountains with waterfalls and even saw rainbows. Plenty of room to spread out with two living spaces (1st and 2nd floor) so if bringing kids it’s the perfect getaway. Highly recommend this house.

Great house

The house is great. The downstairs is totally separate space. Our kids took it over and left the adults to have upstairs. House has towels, chairs, umbrellas, and cart to take to the beach. Loved it.

Pretty much perfect

Everything you need for beach fun including the wagon, which was crucial. The home itself is as described with everything functioning. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the AC in the basement. We weren’t too bothered and we’re sure the equipment is doing its best for the circumstances.

The house is big and spacious for a larger family. It’s ideally located. Well stocked with everything you need and W/D are nice to have so accessible. The upstairs has AC and stays quite cool. But the downstairs does not and can be really hot even with fans. Most of the windows are actually sliding glass doors so you can’t keep them open at night. It was so hot that some of the guests ended up sleeping on the sofa upstairs because it was too uncomfortable to sleep.

It's perfectly located near restaurants, cafe's and the local beaches are just steps away. Both stays the place was clean, orderly, and felt just like at home. I'd even go as far as to call this a dream home. Amenities are wonderful and there is so much space. I look forward to booking this home again and would highly recommend to anyone looking to visit the area.

It is a perfect location close to the beautiful Hanalei Bay and to shopping and restaurants. The home is clean, with lovely and comfortable furniture. It’s very well stocked with everything from the kitchen to beach gear. We especially appreciated all the chairs and yeti backpack cooler. The ac in the upstairs was amazing, the only thing that would have improved the stay was ac downstairs, it was pretty warm and stuffy for sleeping. The host was great and very accommodating. We would definitely book this home again!

Excellent accommodations with one exception

The layout of the property was very generous for 8 people to stay. It worked well for my family. Tastefully done, with everything one needed. The lanai with the large table was perfect! However, the A/C gave out after 3 or 4 days, leaving the downstairs especially warm. Upstairs they had to rely on the ceiling fans and open windows for a breeze.

The one thing we didn't love was that the lower level had no A/C so it got hot down there and made it kind of hard to sleep. We were there in early June so maybe not an issue other times of year.

Ok - but could do better.

The house is located about a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and town. There is a soup kitchen located directly next door to the house and there were some sketcky folks meandering about on days that it was open. The concierge service advertised was essentially useless. They were unable or unwilling to make us dinner reservations or reservations for certain activities. The response to our inquiries were bascially that we had to do it ourselves. Unfortunately we were not given a heads up that we needed to make reservations for dinner and activies weeks if not months in advance. The house itself is nice and roomy and has undergone a recent face lift. Overally, i would look to stay somewhere else as we would expect better service and location for a high end property.

Our favorite spot was the deck right off the living room / kitchen where we hosted dinners with all 10 of us plus 3 others staying locally. Multiple generations were able to really enjoy the home! We were very impressed with all the extras - chairs, bogey boards, some snorkel stuff, clothes washer soap, etc.Comes with a Nespresso (original) machine that is flacky and makes a mess everytime it is used but we brought our own Vertuo and only used it sparingly (espresso martini?)

The only complaint was from those who slept down stairs where there was no A/C.The icw maker downstairs did not work and the fridge ice maker could not keep up with the 10 of us. It was a very enjoyable visit. Hanalei is the best representation of Kauai. I would stay no where else.

Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay at Hale Hanalei, our trip was postponed from 2020 Summer, the owners Jennifer and Jake honored our reservation for a fabulous week in Hanalei Bay. Their home was exactly what we needed, 5BR and baths from the get go. What was so surprising to us when we entered Hale Hanalei is the entire remodel of the upstairs-HL website still reflected the property prior to remodel in its pictures online. WOW, we were so surprised so beautiful, I thought it was very nice prior too. Incredible job. Victoria T was fabulous HL Host for our stay. Only one issue which was scary was the master BR wall mirror crashing to the floor at 1:00 a.m. so thankful it was not during the daytime. I would highly recommend Hale Hanalei, Thanks to the owners for honoring our was perfect for our family. I would recommend HH for large family or two families or couples; the combination of downstairs and upstairs has plenty of room to gather or spend time alone! Just a fabulous home!
