Perfect for a getaway weekend! Our aim was a hiking weekend at Mt Greylock. Pluses: plenty of fluffy towels, decent shower power, quality bed sheets/blankets, extras on hand, bed pillows choices (soft loft vs firmer loft). Kitchenette has basic items for stovetop or microwave cooking and plates & utensils; standard coffee maker (not k-cup) or little hotel style 1-cup coffee maker with a few individually wrapped coffee sachets.
One drawback to be aware of if climate sensitivity is a concern for you; the space tended to feel humid/clammy despite the air conditioner running constantly, and although the bed itself was comfortable, I assume there was a plastic mattress protector under the sheets -- while i can appreciate the need for -- but made for a bit clammy sleeping experience. The building and room were a little aged, but certainly adequate. The overall cleanliness was good and the room was clean. (*The cleaning folks missed cleaning out the previous guest's used coffee filter, but i count that as a minor miss.)
If asked if i would stay here again, yes. There is also access to an indoor and outdoor hot tubs, and outdoor pool, an on-site countey store for snacks, drinks and "i forgot to bring my ..." items, and plenty of restaurants to choose from onsite and in the area. As for hiking, a short stint on the AT was fun! Recommend the trout at Bluebird Restaurant, and the Blueberry Hill Cafe was an excellent breakfast!
