Cool place! It was fun watching the sheep while having a glass of wine on the patio. Host was very communicative and gave us some treats as well. Totally enjoyed our time there.
For us Americans, this was close to glamping! Off the grid, very picturesque, a little rough around the edges, but to be expected. The host was very helpful and provided us eggs and delicious plums! Traffic noise was a little high, but did not stop us from sleeping.
Nice accommodations and we enjoyed the fresh eggs and toast. It was close to the highway so was pretty loud from the cars passing. We were able to sleep well with earplugs however.Would stay again.
The place was very nice. Clean and comfortable. The host was fantastic, friendly and quick to respond to questions. He even let our young daughter feed one of the lambs. Bit of noise from the nearby state highway, but fairly quiet if the doors and window are closed. Not loud enough to bother us.
We stayed for 1 night. The accommodation has everything you need. It was quirky and fun. All rooms very clean and comfortable. Our child loved the bunk bed room. We were very happy to have the milk and bread etc. The night sky was amazing to see from here. Would thoroughly recommend!
It was just as described but a too small for 4 adults. Great for family for one night. Very close to Black water caves, it was perfect for that. The Fat Kiwi Cafe is a must visit just 9 minutes down the road. Missed a stove but the BBQ was a great improvision. Very cool concept.
The Sunset cabin was perfect for a one night stay. Super close to Waitomo Caves which was fantastic for our early morning black water rafting tour. Even though it has rained the entire day (that we arrived) there was enough of a dry spell to enjoy the outdoor bath. Hot water is nice and hot, just what you need when it's cold. Bed was comfy enough and all facilities worked as they should.
