The staff was very friendly and attentive. We loved the food at the hotel especially the breakfast buffet. Our server was very nice and accommodating. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. There are just some water spots on the marble from previous use but not a big issue

Staying at Grand Hotel du LAC was a wonderful and memorable experience. The staff were courteous, caring, and went beyond what was normally expected to ensure that our stay was pleasant and enjoyable. Camellia, one of the staff members helped arrange tours to Halong Bay, Ninh Binh, and the local Hanoi City Tour, all via WhatsApp even before we landed in Hanoi. She also checked on us during the tour to make sure that we were happy with the choice and see if there is anything she could to help. She also pointed us to several cafe, lunch, and dessert choices at various spots in the Old Quarter. The breakfast had plenty of vegetarian options, and the quality of food, fresh juices, fruits, and cappuccino were very good. The cafe staff heard our requests and catered to our needs superbly. The egg coffee (a Hanoi favorite among tourists) was recommended by the staff and it was like a creamy custard with strong coffee combined together. The location is awesome (in the Old Quarter) with a lot of sight seeing options within 5 to 30 minute walking distance. The room was very clean, with fresh fruits (banana, apple, lychee, and another local green fruit like a small apple) served daily along with bottles of water and a small refrigerator for keeping things cold. Finally, arranging vehicles to and from the airport for a very reasonable price (compared to Grab taxi) was a bonus. Kudos to the management team for running such a fine establishment.

We booked two adjoining rooms on the 6th floor. I have to say this is one of the best resorts we’ve stayed at as a family. The hotel is in the old quarters of Hanoi, about a 1 minute walk from St. Joseph’s Cathedral. The hotel is in the center of all the action. The staff were amazing and went over and beyond to help us out. Camellia was particularly a standout as she ensured we were thoroughly taken care of. Can’t say enough of this hotel. The breakfast was an absolute treat. One of the best breakfast you will have with its assortment of free fruits.

The breakfast was phenomenal! We've had a lot of help from the staff making our stay a memorable one. They were patient, kind and resourceful - a truly valuable team. We've also received lovely gifts from the hotel for our stay and a kind gesture in terms of an upgrade to the vehicle of the airport transfer. Can't wait for our next visit to there!

The staff were amazing, very friendly and made us feel at home. They gave us local suggestions and it was easy to communicate with them while we were out exploring, via whatsapp. They offered us a free upgrade to a room with a city view which was a nice touch. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast has lots of options; fruit, juices, meat, eggs, pho, dumplings, spring rolls etc. everything from check in to check out and laundry service were seamless.

Great location to shops and restaurants. The hotel restaurant and roof top bar are excellent. The rooms are on the smaller side, but extremely clean. The gym is ideal for traveler workouts. The thing that really stands out is the staff, all very friendly, efficient and professional. Highly recommend, i will stay here again.
