The amenities were appropriate for a single person needing a night to sleep before moving on. The BEST thing was the biscuits were clearly the best I ever experienced for an "included" breakfast; I broke my diet sampling them.

Issues that can be fixed to increase quality

The building exterior and grounds were very nice. The lobby was welcoming. Our room had dark colored carpet with a few stains, the bathtub had a big rust looking spot in the middle of the tub. Some of the grout on the tub was missing and can lead to bigger issues with water damage! This to me is careless. Maybe housekeeping staff should write down the room issues and give it to maintenance for repair/replacement. People have to take ownership of their jobs and will be a win-win for everyone! Management needs to loosen the purse strings and provide the funding needed to maintain the hotel. The pull out sofa was uncomfortable and squeaked when you sat down on it. The mattresses on the bed need to be replaced but was adequate. The pillows were good and had a couple of choices for the guests comfort. I had complained about the rust spot at the front desk, and while we were out for the day, housekeeping came in and scrubbed it, and may have been painted with enamel spray (?) since 98% of the spot was gone! The staff did mention that the rooms were being refurbished; I believe that was the word? I was surprised there was a hot breakfast since I thought the description said "continental." I don't mean to be negative, but it was just "ok". The sausage was too greasy and needed something to soak up some of the grease. The thin, round eggs needed to be a bit thicker. This can be solved by pouring more of the yolk mixture into the mold. A well maintained hotel should be #1!
