The room WAS BY NO MEANS handicap accessible.. I was there with my bf ( whom has CP and is in a wheelchair full time!) and my 9 month old.
Iâm not sure whoâs over the accessibility in all hotels not just this one, but just because you put a handicap buzzer on the outside of the door does not make the room a handicap accessible room⊠the bathroom for example he couldnât even get in the bathroom because the way the door open the counters were not low, like it was not handicapped accessible whatsoever!!
Whenever we checked in the hotel staff saw my boyfriend in the wheelchair and they asked do you need a room with a rolling shower and I didnât wanna be a smart ass but I was just like I booked the accessible room like why would you not put me in a room thatâs not fully accessible.. I said it was fine only because it was late and Im was ready to get everyone settled before bed.
Also there were NOOO wash clothes in the room and that was weird!!!
When I first arrived, the room I was given had a strong unpleasant odor, and I had to go in first to check it out. Thankfully, I was moved to a better-smelling room, but unfortunately, the entire hallway leading to it still had a strong sewer-like smell. On top of that, the bathtub in the new room was dirty, which made the stay uncomfortable.
I was charged $40 more than I should have been and the room was dirty. There was broken tile in the bathroom and the floor was broken underneath it that could have collapsed and killed someone
Room was obviously smoked in by prior occupants. Staff attempted to cover with a fragrant spray that wore off before morning. My youngest child has asthma. We were not happy at all.
The hotel was wonderful except we booked this hotel for the indoor pool and was told it was closed for maintenance upon our check in. It should be noted that pool is not available upon booking.
