Good location. Easy check-in and check-out. Amenities in house were very nice: pool table, fire pit, hot tub, etc.. Mattresses could use an upgrade. Biggest issue was condition of the resort features. Golf course was in terrible condition and spa was less than ideal. Not an issue with regard to the house, but something to consider.
We had the best time at Retreat 52! I took 5 "kids" (20, 18, 15, 15, 13) for a long weekend, visiting from Illinois. Things we loved:Hot tub was clean and nice.Fire pit area well lit and perfect for smores!Plenty of room in the house.Felt safe. Kids enjoyed playing pool (first time for a couple).Overall cozy feel. The porch was amazing!Host was helpful and responsive!Other notes:Would have liked to be able to see the golf course. Not recommended for anyone with trouble with stairs, lots of stairs to get around the place. It wasn't an issue for us. We would stay again and again!
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our house that was located in the mountains so, we were truly able to enjoy the whole experience. Driving distance is perfect if youâre looking to explore hiking trails, waterfalls, tubing, zip lining or whitewater rafting like we did.If not, thatâs okay too!! Kick back in the rocking chairs and simply enjoy the nature scenery, or grill some steaks, play family games that are provided, make sâmores in the firepit or relax under the stars in the hot tub. Plenty of restaurants to choose from and downtown is absolutely adorable!
We had a great time at the cabin with 3 families. Included everything needed. Loved the location and nearby amenities. The adults even escaped to the hotel inside the neighborhood for an afternoon beverage on their rooftop lounge.
The house had plenty of room to accommodate my whole family and it felt spacious. really enjoyed the amenities it had with the spa and game room. Beds may need to be switched out since they really dipped when you got in them, and also my brother in law stated that his may have been broken at the bottom. the views were excellent and it was minutes away from everything that Helen Ga had to offer.
we enjoyed our stay. Beds are comfortable and the towels are not the cheap see thru kind. It was very big even for 6 people. The kitchen was well equipped and it was very clean!
We spent Thanksgiving with our longtime friends at Retreat 52. We especially loved the quiet location just outside of town. Retreat 52 offered plenty to keep us busy with foosball, pool, cornhole, streaming movies, fire pit, and the hot tub. However, we loved proximity to all that the Helen region has to offer.
Good overall rental for the rental cost. Location to Helen and surrounding sightseeing area was great. The bedding was comfortable, suggest that bring your pillows. The rental came with ex toilet paper, small bottle dish soap and dishwater soap. Suggested for future guests to bring their own laundry soap, ex paper towels, Clorox wipes or something for cleaning the countertops.bring your own aluminum foil, saran wrap, and or Ziploc bags. The house only came equipped with three Tupperware storage for leftover food items. Bring your coffee supplies. The pool table and fuse-ball was used nightly by my family. Some of outside lights didnât work. We never located the corn hole boards. The outside porch swing needs to be replaced. The driveway and deck stairs need some pressure washing. The fire pit area was fantastic.
The location is beautiful! All the balconies have a beautiful view. There were plenty of dishes and pots/pans etc. The beds were not comfy by the second night I was missing my bed⊠but the rooms were spacious. Pool table was fun and the board games for friends or family!
Maybe just add a few little touches to make it feel more like home (hangers, little bathroom kits, k cups for the Keurig)
Plenty of parking in a super nice house in a somewhat secluded gated community. Weâll definitely be staying again here. Communication with the Helen Rental team was very helpful. Thanks again for the stay
Step stairs required to enter/leave property; kitchen was a disaster ; mattresses were awful; extra pillows with no casesâŠâŠ.worst VRBO i have ever rented
It was a very nice stay. But I did want to point out two things. One in the driveway there is a tree limb that's dangling that could fall on somebody or someone's car. And secondly, the upstairs shower is very poor draining. By the time you get done with the shower, it's above your ankles
Property is in great shape, the cabins multiple levels leaves a lot to be utilized but also carves out your own spaces. The game rooms were great and lots of general hangout space. The one issue we had was the A/C not working but stuff happens.
This home was just as listed. It was large, in a quiet area. The kids enjoyed both the foosball and pool table. We had a great time making sâmores around the fire pit. The hot tub was a hit as well. Main Street Helen was close by with shops and restaurants. We did tubing, the Georgia Mt. Coaster, putt-putt and then hiked and zip lined at Unicoi State Park. Our only complaint was that the pool was not available during our stay.
We had 3 generations of riders from NY, SC and FL. Cabin was amazing, spacious and very welcoming. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor space. Little trouble finding the location but overall enjoyed the relaxing wooded area, quiet away from town but still close enough to enjoy. Kitchen space had all the modern tools needed to cook as we desired. We loved all the small thoughtful details. We will definitely be back!
