This carriage is absolutely beautiful! Has everything you need, in a stunning location. The host was so lovely and welcoming. The decor is so beautiful and we had an absolutely amazing stay, exploring part of Cornwall.
The hosts Paula and Paul were on hand if needed, the afternoon tea was delicious!! Henrietta was warm and cosy perfect for us and Holly (the dog). There was so much to and not enough time to do it all! The Harry Potter series was being filmed at the time of are stay so we had to go and take a nosey in the village. But all in all an extremely lovely holiday.
It is small but we knew that before booking! The locality and friendliness of the owners more than makes up for lack of space. Charming, peaceful, idyllic and perfect for a quiet getaway
We had a wonderful stay in 'Henrietta'. Check in instructions and directions to the location were clear and Paul and Paula were the perfect hosts. Friendly and helpful but not intrusive. The accommodation was quirky, clean and beautifully presented and had everything we needed. The private outside area was very quiet and peaceful with lots of walks nearby. Cadgwith is a stunning village and we enjoyed several nights at the Cadgwith Cove Inn listening to sea shanties and folk songs. We had a magical week and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this destination. We can't wait to come back.
Cute to be staying in a converted railway carriage. Cosy, spotless and perfect. So easy to walk into Cadgwith as well plus two minutes from the coast path.
Loved our stay in Harriet, it was a perfect little space tucked away in an idealic location. Lovely cream tea waited for us, and the host was very welcoming and lovely. Would definitely recommend
This is a lovely place to stay, surrounded by beautiful stunning landscape, in a quiet area with a nice village and pub within walking distance. Highly recommended.
Loved it , quirky and unusual with fab history. Decor was great. Host was excellent and we had lovely cream tea waiting for us on arrival and popped over to say hello and provide some local knowledge. We loved how quiet the location is . Perfect for a weekend recharge and to explore the Luzard peninsula.
Lovely and quiet, out of the way. Great hosts, lovely pub just down the road Cadgwith Cove Inn, with some of the best food I have had in a long time.I would definitely recommend staying here.
We probably had the worst weather from Storm Bert. Nevertheless, we were tucked away in "Henrietta" our beautifull, comfortable and cosy carriage. Not once were we bothered by the storm.
My friend and I stayed 2 nights with our dogs, really wish we could have stayed longer. The carriage and grounds were amazing, the location was perfect for walking and exploring the area. Couldnât fault anything, lovely place and owners. Thanks so much!!!!
We had a lovely stay in Henrietta, the beautifully restored railway carriage near Cadgwith Cove. The scones were a lovely welcome after our arrival was made easier with clear directions to the location from Paula. Henrietta is beautifully furnished and well thought out. Thereâs a proper bath and plenty of hot water. You look straight out onto a wood with a small brook right next to the carriage and thereâs a private garden. Peaceful and tranquil. We had a clear night one night and so seeing the night sky filled with stars without much light pollution was a rare treat. It was special to see the chickens, geese and goats too. Itâs a steep walk to Cadgwith Cove and back but well worth it. The car also made it down the twisty lanes to the Cadgwith Cove Inn for a very nice vegetarian meal in the evening. All in all, highly recommended.
We last stayed here 8 years ago - in the Old Coach. We finally returned and werenât disappointed, Henrietta was just as lovely and we had a wonderful stay with everything we needed.
Even rainy weather on Sunday morning didnât spoil our enjoyment as we sat and relaxed listening to the little stream running at the edge of the woods just outside the carriage.
The local area is beautiful, both the cove and further afield - we enjoyed walking the coast path, and, of course, we couldnât miss seeing Kynance Cove again.
Overall a perfect stay, thank you :)
