Our stay was unfortunately impacted by several maintenance and cleanliness issues that did not reflect the premium nightly rate. The AC wasnât functional for the first two days during very hot weather, and the outdoor deck fans also didnât work. A sump pump failure left a downstairs bathroom unusable for a time, and service techs and cleaners visited throughout our stay to address the issues, interrupting our plans and privacy.There were further privacy concerns as we noticed undisclosed Ring cameras on the property, which the host ultimately agreed to disable during our stay.Cleanliness left a lot to be desired: we found dog hair throughout the house, crumbs and debris in the utensil drawers, stained and old pillows, and a kitchen trash can with food residue that attracted ants. Some kitchen outlets didnât work, and the fridge and freezer contained leftovers from previous guests, so we had to clean and reorganize before we could use the space.To their credit, the host did acknowledge these issues and agreed to a partial refund after our stay. Still, for the price paid, guests should expect a much higher standard of cleanliness, maintenance, and communication. We hope the host takes this feedback seriously and makes needed improvements.
