The place was in a perfect location to exploreBoth Highlands and Cashiers. It was perfect for our family of 4. It was clean and had all the amenities needed to have a relaxing weekend in the mountains!
A great location and if you are looking for a functional corporate style space then this house fits the statement - however if you are expecting a cosy home then this is not for you. The furnishings are as expected from a standard rental not a home - the bathrooms are functional and offer a corporate feel. The kitchen has a drip coffee but no K-cup which was surprising, no stem glasses which again was odd. The house missed the little touches that you would have hoped would have been there if someones actual home or managed by the owner rather than a corporate entity - overall was good but not excellent - but good value for money
This townhouse is clean, beautifully furnished, and in a lovely, quiet location close to town and restaurants. However, we found the mattresses, pillows, and living room furniture extremely hard and uncomfortable causing back and neck pain. The television remotes in the bedrooms didn't work properly. This could be an amazing rental with mattress and furniture changes.
The property is in an excellent location, just 10 minutes drive from downtown Highlands. The property was quiet, spacious, nicely decorated, had a wonderful gas fireplace and a large screen TV. We did have an issue with the door keypad and a few cleaning issues which we addressed with the rental agency vacasa.
The house was in a nice neighborhood. Even though the porch looks onto the street, there was very little traffic. The neighborhood was VERY hilly, so walking the dog is a challenge. Bathrooms could have been cleaner, and there was a problem with musty towels that VACASA rectified. The seats in the living room are uncomfortable and hard, not conducive to watching football or a movie. Beds were comfortable. Water pressure great. Wi-Fi great and TV had many channels. Home is a short, easy drive to downtown Highlands. All roads are paved, and no crazy mountains to drive.
Lovely, spacious sitting area with a wonderful front porch. We had a difficult time getting into the home because the door code wasn't working, the instructions were unclear, or our ineptitude. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms were clean, and the kitchen was well equipped. We would definitely like to stay again.
The furnishings were of good quality, and this could be a nice accommodation. However, the pictures did not fully represent the unit.
The unit requires significant upkeep and a deep cleaning. Upon arrival at 6 PM, after a six-hour drive, we had to unload in 30-degree weatherâonly to find that I had to scrub the bathrooms before we could use them. The tub and floors were filthy.
As both of us are disabled, this was an especially distressing experience.
The bathroom towels were so thin they were nearly transparent, and the bedding was worn out with noticeable pilling.
Itâs clear that this unit is merely a money-making flip rather than a home cared for by an owner invested in the community.
Great location, quiet neighborhood with plenty of covered porch seating. Nice that they offered us early check in. Let very water pressure and comfortable bedding. Weâd stay again.
This duplex home is beautiful! Lots of little extras to make our stay special. So convenient to downtown Highlands and itâs many restaurants and shops
I have mostly positive things to say about the home, proximity and overall experience. However, this particular property is condo (connected to another condo) the listing has you believe itâs a free-standing home. Also, the inside fireplace does not work. I donât think itâs worked since last year (I just read another review confirming same ) that would have been nice to know. We enjoyed ourselves, but bad weather would have made the inside fire ideal!
