This is such a cute little house! Perfect for our getaway weekend with 3 adults. Make sure you bring an eye mask if you're light sensitive... Lots of uncovered windows to enjoy the beautiful nature setting. A very close drive to Main Street in Highlands.... though not the safest walk at night with dark streets and no sidewalks. Host was super responsive and the house had everything we needed. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful Property in a Great Location

The property was very clean and absolutely perfect for our family of four. The communication with the owner was the best I've ever had, when renting, and their description of the property was 100% accurate. The walk to town was so easy and convenient. We will be back for sure!

Charming getaway in Highlands

Adorable A-frame cottage nestled on the side of a mountain, surrounded by trees and rhododendrons. The cottage is very clean and nicely outfitted from decor to amenities. The hosts are very easy to communicate with and responsive to any requests or questions. Definitely look forward to another stay in Highlands!

Quaint, well appointed house

This is the second time we have stayed on the property that has two houses. We had a lovely visit, however the driveway was a bit harder to navigate this time. It’s a very steep and gravel drive. We had our SUV which struggled, as it’s not a 4-wheel drive. I don’t think our other sedan type car would have been able to get out of there. We would love to visit again but hesitate due to the driveway issue.

Weekend Getaway

Beautiful little A-frame. It was decorated beautifully and everything you need was there. I am so glad we chose to stay here, it was a restful weekend full of doing next to nothing which is just what the body needs. Thankful for the family who rents this cabin, it was truly a joy to stay there.

Lovely A-Frame in the Highlands!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our first trip to the Highlands, made special by our stay at this lovely a-frame. We have dreams of having our own in the mountains someday and we took lots of tips from the cozy home. It had everything we needed for our long weekend and was so convenient to everything we wanted to do and see. We'll be back! :)

Sweet Stay

We loved our stay in this sweet house. It has been lovingly remodeled. It was an excellent location, clean and comfortable. We loved sitting outside by the fire table in the evening. The location of this house is perfect for a nice walk into town. Everything was very clean and well appointed. We will stay again for sure!

Be still is an A-frame with a king-sized bed on the lower floor and 3 twins in the loft. Everything you need to have a great time. We enjoyed it. There are two things to note: first, the driveway, as advertised really is a bear. Read their advice carefully and take it slow. Second, the spiral staircase is another take it slowly and carefully. The location is great -- certainly walkable to town with only a short stint on a less pleasant part of the road. The communication was beyond excellent. We contracted to stay in one of the properties and on arrival it was not ready. Emily quickly and graciously offered the next door property and bought us a drink for our trouble. The TV offerings were great for streaming, but no live news. Overall, this was very enjoyable.

Everything is updated and fresh. Lots of attention to detail. Kerig coffee inclusion was nice. Gas fire pit on patio and gas stove in living room were nice. Steep driveway took alittle getting use to, but we were given good tips by owner on navigating it.

Wonderful home super close to downtown!

A perfect chalet close to everything.

Absolutely adorable, newly renovated chalet, walking distance to downtown but secluded by trees and mountain laurel so you feel far away. Nicely appointed with all new furniture, kitchenware, dishes, bed linens & towels. Owners gave detailed instructions and were quick to respond to questions. Highly recommend.
