The room was more than expexcted. Airy a big ceiling fan and 2 additional if needed!!. I wish we could have stayed longer then 1 night. The beds were cozy and the amenities that were available, wow a small kitchen!!!. Bright, clean tidy and the staff were exceptional, friendly and helpful especially Fred🌝. Big mahalo for your hospitality. We'll be back and stay longer.

Room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of towels. Would give five stars of there were an elevator but overall it was lovely for a cheap overnight. Charmingly, they still use actual room keys rather than keycards, which I enjoyed.

For the money, it is excellent. On the waterfront and very easy in/out. Sure, it is dated and requires using stairs, but they keep it clean, pest free, and friendly.

Disappointed. The hotel and room were neglected, in need of paint and a good scrubbing. The deordorizer was so strong it was hard to breathe. We had to open the windows, turn on the fans and leave for a couple hours. The pillows smelled of after shave, not ours. The “fine print” was no wifi or internet, no AC, tiny cold pool, scummy appearance. The doors were very cheap and used an old key. The did not seem secure at all. We paid a lot for this run down, smelly hotel. Won’t be back.

Even though the Hotel is older, the place was clean and the views are awesome!! Staff was friendly and they have everything you need. We didn't use the pool but the kids were having fun when we came back from dinner! No AC/Elevator but we knew that! Will stay again!

Clean hotel, good sized room. Nice view. Could really use some decoration in the room and hallways or at least some color on the walls. Very convenient / nice location close to the airport. However, planes landing or taking off was very loud, so bring ear plugs or plan to start your day early (about 6:30AM)

A rustic setting. The hotel is a walk back in time to the 70s. As stated, there is no air conditioning although there’s a ceiling fan as well as two standing fans available for use. The room was clean and tidy. The windows don’t fully close but there are screens on them. The view and surroundings are beautiful. We did find a bug or two in the room. The internet connection isn’t very strong.

The room was very clean but a little dated. It is a 3 story building with no elevator and no a/c. We didn’t mind as it had a ceiling fan and another floor fan. We didn’t see that in the advertising.

Clean room, okay for a night stay, especially if you're just in town to visit the volcanoes and Hilo. Walls of room look like prison brick walls. Bed was pretty firm and uncomfortable. Bay view was great and no issues without AC since there is a ceiling fan as well as a standing fan. plus if you just leave the balcony screen door open, the nice bay breeze comes in and the calming sounds of the bay. Rooms and corridors need some TLC and sprucing up. Front desk staff provided a smooth check in and check out process.
