The toilet was broken in two places after check in. We called the front desk, the told us noone there could fix it. We took the back off the toilet, used a coat hanger because of all the mold, and reattached the chain. Then we had to use a lot of tape the chain connector that was rusty to make it flush. A gentleman at the front desk told my husband to do what he could to fix it. There was someone else's dirty clothes under the nightstand. Upon check in, we were told "they hoped the room was clean enough"?!?! We were in town for our daughters select softball tournament and it was an awful experience. There was no ice any day we were there, there was a sign to go to the front desk for ice. Both mornings before 8 am we tried to get ice from the front desk and were told there was "no ice" to put in her water bottle. The heat was close to 100. Also the chair in the room was gray on the top and looked like it soiled with something disgusting. We took multiple pictures, it was a horrible experience! Don't waste your money!!

More value for your money!

We stayed for one week for a conference. Great and helpful staff. Loved the lady who runs the breakfast, and the housekeepers did a wonderful job. Rooms are clean and well-maintained. Pool and hot tub are clean and much appreciated at the end of a long day. Great for families, as it is in a safe part of town, affordable and clean. Thank you so much, White Pines, for making our stay in Holland such a pleasant one!

The room was not clean. There was food in the microwave. The floor was not vacuumed. The dresser drawers had leftover food crumbs in all the drawers. The bathroom floor was nasty and there appeared to be bugers wiped on the wall. All the ice machines were down he said, for 2 days. There was some sort of brown grossness in the hot tub. There was also leaves and bugs in the pool... indoor pool. In the elevator there was a piece of fried fish for most of our stay. But when we left the fish was gone and there was a French fry. The outdoor patio had trash around it and the ashtray was so full it was spilling out. The TV had broken feet that were taped with electrical tape. There were no straws in the whole hotel. The carpets on the stairs had big stains on them and there were crushed potatoe chips on the steps the entire stay. I did not get the cheapest room at the cheapest hotel because I wanted better than that and that's what I was expecting. I was truly disappointed. My family was disappointed ☹️ it was our first stay away in 5 years. I will not use Expedia again. I will never recommend this hotel. The manager did say he would give me a 20% discount if I complained to Expedia. Saying it's a third party so that's where I will complain.☹️

The whole property is old and outdated. Just didn’t feel clean. Needs a complete overhaul! Check-in took forever(felt sorry for the only person there checking people in). Ice machine wasn’t working. Elevator smelled like bug spray

Minor tweaks will make it a great stay.

We were pleased with the stay. It was clean and the staff were friendly. We had a suite and it was very spacious, but needs a 2nd air conditioner for the space. The morning breakfast needs improved, but we're not breakfast eaters anyway. The only problem was when the air conditioning quit working in our room our last night there. The staff were very apologetic and handled the situation very well. We would definitely return to this hotel.

I’m not one to usually write a review, but this is hands down the WORST hotel we have ever stayed at. The floor planks lifted up with your feet when you walked in the hotel room. The bathroom light never turned off. The towels were as thin as tissue and when we asked the front desk for new towels on our second day, they told us to find a cleaning lady. The bathroom had paint splattered all over the floor, toilet, and door. The bathroom sink didn’t drain. When we opened the window curtains the first morning a dead bug fell out onto the bed. We stayed in the junior suite with a king size bed and wish we didn’t stay at this hotel at all. The reviews and pictures the website has are really nothing like the experience. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else!!!!

The hallways have very heavy animal urine smell. When you going to the room it's not much better. It was not well kept. There was mold, there was a big hole in the bathtub, stained bedding, bugs, among other issues. I actually had a full-blown asthma attack from the room. We had to leave the hotel immediately. This hotel has charged my credit card two different times and refuses to give my money back
