My daughter and I stayed here for over a week. The house was perfect. We were here when topsail Island got a foot of snow. The water pipes ended up freezing, but Lee was wonderful to work with. He had his handyman come out and check on us. Lee was very responsive to any questions that I sent his way. Had a wonderful experience.

Unbeatable Stay and Location

We had an amazing time at this beach house. It’s one of the few remaining places on Topsail with direct beach access, which made it incredibly easy to maximize our time on the sand, especially with young kids in tow. The home itself was updated, homey, and most importantly, very clean. Lee was a thoughtful and accommodating host throughout our stay. We truly felt at home and hope to return again soon!

Amazing location and friendly host!

This was my family’s first trip to Top Sail. A friend recommended this beach house and it was perfect - especially if you have young children. You walk out the door and you are on the beach! The house was clean and the host was easy to communicate with. We will be back!

Great vacation!

A wonderful beach house! We loved walking down the back steps and being on the beach. So convenient when u have little kids. Host was amazing with his response time and kindness. For years my family and I have gone to a different NC beach for vacation but I just reserved this house again for next summer! It’s awesome!

Memorable Vacation

Our family absolutely loved our vacation at Island Time! The ocean views are incredible, and there are plenty of amenities provided that made our stay a perfect getaway. The location is far enough away from retail businesses so that it's not congested, yet close enough to restaurants and shops so that outings don't monopolize vacation time. The home was clean, which is always a must for our travel taste. Lee, the owner, is very prompt and kind with his communication, too. In fact, we have already requested to stay at this home again next year, since the entire process was smooth and efficient, and since our children loved this particular area so much for their first time there. We have rented several beach homes, and this is the first time that we have repeated a stay in the same home, so I hope that speaks volumes about the home and communication with the owner!

Great location and owner!

We chose “Island Time” for our now-annual after-Thanksgiving trip to Topsail Island and had a lovely 4-day stay. We really enjoy the island at this time of the year when the crowds are gone and access and traffic are hassle-free. We had another good time this year and loved our stay in this property. It’s in a great location right on the ocean and not far at all from the stores, restaurants and amenities of Surf City. The home itself was clean and equipped as “advertised.” Our host, Lee Ayers, was friendly, prompt, helpful, and thorough in his communication and handling of our stay. We have nary a contrary word to say on all of the above. That all said, I must note that the property is getting a bit long in the tooth and is in need of some updates and remodeling (on that score, it’s apparent the owner is aware of these needs and is addressing them—even during our stay a contractor was there taking measurements for replacement of the house’s deck and porches). On the inside, besides some needed cosmetic touch-ups, it seemed that the home’s windows and sliders are past their prime: the heating and AC system battled to keep the house at appropriate temperatures. There is a pretty noticeable temperature difference between the two levels. Still, we have no regrets at all in staying here and any minor inconvenience was more than outweighed by the home’s location, features, and caring and competent management. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here on our next trip.

Sitting on the shore

Such a terrific location. The house was very nice, and the host easy to communicate with. One thing should be noted on the description. You have to go through another bedroom to get to the master. This is rather awkward when you're the early riser and have to pass through that room to get downstairs. We wondered if that room wasn't originally a sitting area for the master. P.S. If that room is kept as a bedroom, it would be better to have bunkbeds. That way a couple of kids in there wouldn't be as disruptive. That being said, we have rebooked for next year!

Great Location

Loved the location but was very disappointed that the house was not clean. Carpet was very dirty especially on stairs. Oven was dirty, fans had dust and dirt hanging from blades and the showers had hair and lots of sand in them. There was a short in the wiring of the light in the upstairs bedroom. The sliding door to deck was very hard to open and close and locks do not work on these doors. We enjoyed the ocean and the weather but all the things i have listed were a great disappointment for the price we paid for the week. One sister was unable to join us.

Perfect location!

We chose this house because of its location and we enjoyed our vacation! Communicating with the property manager was great. We received quick responses and they were very accommodating. The down side to this property is that the stairs are all very steep and difficult for my mother in law to climb. We loved being directly on the beach and look forward to visiting Topsail Island again!

Family Time

One of the best places to stay. We were right on the beach. The kids loved it.we enjoyed being so close to the beach. All we had to do was carry our chairs to bottom of the steps and sit beside the steps, because at high tide the water came close to the steps..we enjoyed our family time together. Thanks for being such a good host

The property was in a great location right on the beach ... we had 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and a beautiful deck with a porch swing and plenty of seating for us all. Lee was great to work with and we look forward to staying there again in the future!
