Views were spectacular. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The rooms are modest but well appointed and clean. The food is very good but a bit spendy. Caught my first king salmon in the fishing hole. I would stay there again.

The best thing about this hotel is the views if you book a sea side room. Loved the view from our room. Saw sea otters playing right off the beach. But that’s about it. The beds were some of the hardest I’ve ever slept on. The sheets were super rough and stiff. The restaurant was ok, but way overpriced even for AK standards. You have to have a reservation to use the pool, hot tub, and sauna. They are doing a lot of remodeling. Glad I only booked us for one night at this hotel, because I don’t think our backs would liked a second night.

I know its in the process of being remodeled but the small bed up against the wall was a real pain, not confortable for 2 people, the front desk service was awesome but the service inn the restaurant was horrible, the food was great but really poor service

Our room was the bottom half of a condo. It was spacious, clean, updated, and steps from the beach. Staff was friendly. Overall, we were just sad we couldn’t stay longer. We recommend!
