I was comfortable and slept well in my room. The bed was great and the noise was minimal since I had a room away from the highway intersection. I had hot water and clean sheets and towels.
The owners/operators and housekeeping staff were friendly.
The motel is old; I remember when it was built in the late 70âs (or so). It is adequate basic accommodations for Homer and surrounding towns.
Itâs sad to see once vibrant small North Louisiana towns like Homer in Claiborne Parish dwindling in size, population, opportunities, and retail/restaurant options.
Beds were uncomfortable and this is the first hotel that did not even have a coffee pot. Could not get hot water in the bath/shower. Door seemed flimsy and not secure.
We got in late and left early - it was meant just to have a place to sleep. It was clean. The tub could use some updating. The mattress was uncomfortable the recliner was a lot to be desired - needs to go.
The place is in the middle of nowhere. Took 30 minutes for someone to come to the locked front door just to check in. Seen a man coming out of a room just looking at me and not coming. He was the owner. To start off, the office stunk of mildew. Should have known then. Then got to the room and it was dirty. I wouldnât wash my dog in the shower in that room! I can say, the housekeeper was nice. She came in and cleaned the toilet and shower for me. Other than that, the owners were rude. Place is dirty!
