The location is close to Ala Moana beach & shopping (groceries, Target, Walmart too). It's walkable to Waikiki, but you'll get your steps in! We were given two refillable bottles for the filtered water stations (something new that wasn't done in the past). They did an excellent job refurbishing the property, esp the rooms. It felt more resort- like than it did my previous stays. I will likely stay here again, and I visit a few times a year.

Overall good stay with some caveats

Convenient location near the shopping center and it was convenient having the hair salon on the second floor and a Starbucks in the lobby. But I think for the cost of the resort fee, the amenities could be better, the steam room was broken and there was a big cockroach in the sauna! The parking lot underneath the building is a bit of a mess too! There should be more water filter stations throughout the hotel. Renovated rooms were good overall.

We stayed for 4-5 days at this hotel and the new renovated waikiki tower room we stayed at is not so big ans the view is not that great as well i wish i have more the pool and city view. The door in the restroom of our room almost hitting the toilet so we need to move sideways everytime were closing the door using toilet or using the shower and its very tight. And its like 2-3 times were going out about 7am and coming back between 2-3pm and our room hasnt been clean yet and we called the housekeeping like couple times to ask why it hasnt been clean yet and the housekeeping teller said no idea. So we ended up asking for new towels. Just a good thing its very convenient to most everything around.

room 3227 is not a standard room, it was awkward and not good for 2 people. TV was not centered to the bed. Door had sticky paint, so when you opened the door it would make a loud noise.

In severe need of a refurb in the old tower. My mother had multiple issues with things breaking in her room. The toilet broke twice (wouldn’t flush), the lamp fell off the wall, the wardrobe was broken etc. Carpet was filthy, disgusting marks on the walls. She complained at reception various times and there was no apology. The maintenance team were brilliant though and were quickly there to help. Cleaning staff also very friendly.
