I have nothing but good things to say about the facility itself and the staff. It is a wonderful budget option with great access to surrounding areas. Waikiki is the perfect place for a vacation. However, although I understand that privacy is not really something one can expect much from a hostel, I really do wish that they had better privacy and stricter rules for guests like quiet hours and personal hygiene. My first four nights I could kinda deal with it, the men area always has some weird smell but my pod is not as bad. The fifth night is when I couldn't take it anymore because two other guests were chatting and laughing in loud voice near my pod and it woke me up from my sleep after 10pm. One of the men was even apparently eating snacks in his pod and I can hear him chewing very clearly (which by the way is forbidden but clearly not easily enforced). This lasted for roughly an hour and I had such a long day and decided that I won't put up with it for three more nights - I checked out that night and went to a hotel instead. It costed me but I learned my lessons.
Again great budget option, great staff and I'm perfectly happy with their service given how much I paid, but your experience could vary depending on who you will be staying with. I feel like something like this could work a lot better in places like Japan.
Good place, itâs just the inconvenience of guest going and coming in late at night. Didnât get quiet until about 12am. You hear zippers from luggage the whole time. I had to be up at 3:30 am due to flight.
Everyone is very respectful. From the staff to the other guest staying at this hostel/hotel. The atmosphere is tranquil and would absolutely be staying here again in my next visit.
