This was a nice stay. It's not luxury, but i wasnt trying to get that. I wanted a comfortable, clean, pleasant hotel, and this one ticked all those boxes. They're close to the beach, i got a beautiful view of the ocean, and the AC worked well. I would say it was a great deal for the location. Close to diamond head, the zoo, and the beach. Lots of things were within walking distance. I only stayed the weekend and i was glad i chose somewhere where i didnt have to drive everywhere. I did have a car for a few side trips, but this was a good "home base."

Room and staff were excellent. All of the staff are always really great, couldn't be any better. This is our fourth year at this hotel but was disappointed with the breakfast changes this year and it may influence our stay decisions in future years. No boiled eggs, no loaf (banana bread, etc), no bacon option, no dairy alternative, no cut up fresh mixed fruit are all changes that really make the breakfast lower quality. The amazing breakfast was one of the main reasons we stayed there but now it's more of an average breakfast or even below average.

The staff was excellent and super nice and helpful with anything and everything. The properties were always being cleaned. And the convenience to the beach was nice. Definitely love that they have beach chairs and boogie boards to use for the day at no charge

When I checked in, the front desk assigned me a room on the M floor, which I found quite strange—it’s between the 3rd and 4th floors. Once I got to the room, I realized it was extremely small. I’ve only seen rooms this small in Scandinavia. On top of that, the air conditioner was very old and noisy—it was a standalone unit with a loud operating sound. I immediately went back to the front desk and asked if it was possible to change rooms because of the noise from the air conditioner. They then moved me to a room on the 4th floor. This room is larger, but the sound insulation is very poor. Even early in the morning, I can hear traffic noise from outside, and there is also a loud noise that seems to be coming from the hot water pipes.

Overall great experience. Arrived couple hours before check in time, we were greeted beautifully and room was given right away. All beach accessories ( towels, beach chairs, volleyball ) available in the lobby. Breakfast buffet every morning offered a good variety of food. Very nice staff always ready to help. Definitely we will be back.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Place Waikiki. The location is great - a block from the beach. The room was clean, bed comfortable and we appreciated the daily housekeeping. Lots of restaurants nearby.
