The listing is 100% accurate. We had a wonderful time. So much to see and do or just relax in the cabin. Owner was responsive and made sure wverything was taken care of. We will be back!
Right from the start (booking) communication was excellent. We were made to feel welcome. The cabin was spotless and well stocked. The neighborhood is beautiful and peaceful. The stream in the adjacent ravine provided the loveliest soundtrack. The beds were comfortable with quality linens. I would book again if we return to this area.
A nice secluded cabin with an beautiful lake. We had fun hiking, kayaking, and exploring the area. If you want to have some peace, this is a great place to get away from the city.
We absolutely loved our stay here!!! The home was perfect, nice, well supplied kitchen, nice comfortable bed, nice shower, great location next to a beautiful lake. As this was our first time in Washington, we were too busy sightseeing to take advantage of the canoe and explore the lake..... maybe next time. Carol is a wonderful host, she is available at all times, and goes the extra mile to make sure her guests are happy and well situated. I cannot say enough good things about this place. and will certainly try to stay here again if i get a chance to return to this area.
Fantastic rental!! Carol was a wonderful host and the cabin was wonderful. We were there to kayak and the cabin was super close to the boat launch. The neighborhood was nice and loved that deer would walk through. We would totally come here again!!
The ratings above were difficult because while we had issues with OUR stay and I try to give honest reviews I BELIEVE THEY WILL NOT EXIST IN ANY WAY FOR FUTURE GUESTS. This cabin was rustic and the size was fine for us two girls -who had not seen each other in a while -to do some hiking, laughing and catching up. The location was easy once we found the cabin within the area. The owner was very responsive, thorough, and quick to communicate with us in EVERY way. There were some housekeeping issues, I know that many times the owners get taken advantage of between guests when housekeepers get a little lax. There were some other issues that I will not go into here because when I informed the owner, she exhibited the VERY BEST example of how to respond with grace and action when things arenât as they should be. Well done, Carol. She already had a plan in place to fix the problems before the next season. So enough said. Future guests will no doubt find the cabin in tip top shape and a complete delight, Iâm sure of it.
The mattresses were VERY comfortable, BTW, we slept very well while there! The cabin is set into the trees. Very private. Very peaceful. Lake Cushman is amazing, beautiful and there are wonderful trails nearby. We had no problems getting around. I highly recommend Ninas Cafe and the small coffee stand in the parking lot there was the best coffee I had during 3 weeks in Washington! Donât overlook that little drive up coffee hut gem!
My wife and I pick a different part of the US to visit every fall and this year was the Pacific Northwest. This cabin was quaint and perfect for our place to rest and relax after a day of water fall excursions and great hikes. Itâs in a quiet place with a the calming sound of a creek/ rapids along side it. Very comfortable and everything we needed.
We loved our time at here! It was comfortable and cozy! We sat on the front porch listening to the creek babble while our kids lounged on the hammock. It was such a positive experience! The kids didnât want to leave and we hope to be back soon!
My friend and I brought our kids to the lake for three nights and enjoyed the beautiful lake. The cabin had plenty of beds for the six of us and although there isnât a/c we managed to stay cool enough at night by opening up windows that had screens (almost all of them do). The 10:00 check out time was a little earlier than we were expecting (the listing here says 11:00), but we made it work. Oh and one more thing to note: there was just one roll of t.p. in each bathroom and no more to be found, so we wish weâd brought some from home. :)
Our family of four, all the way from VT, had a wonderful stay in Carol's cottage. She was generous, communicative about the cottage and things to do in the area, and a wonderful host. Additionally, Carol was super flexible when we had car trouble and had to adjust dates of our stay, making us feel so welcomed and cared for when we were so far from home.
The cottage is well stocked with all you could need for a getaway in the woods. It was a quick walk to the development's beach on Lake Cushman, which was surprisingly warm and ridiculously beautiful. The cottage is very private, yet feels close to the park and great hikes in and around the quiet Staircase area of Olympic National Park.
We were pleasantly surprised to find the spacious loft, which my 11 and 7 year old adored (I don't recall it being pictured in the cabin description). Lots of beach floats and even kayaks to play with, too! All in all, we had a lovely stay in Carol's cottage and are so grateful for her hospitality. HIGHLY recommended for a low-key, cabin vacation in Olympic!
We had a fabulous time at the Wolf cabin. It was the hottest weekend of the year and out cabin stayed fairly cool. The lake is just a very short walk to a nice grassy beach where the water is shallow for kids to play in. The cabin was very accommodating for a family of 4. We would love to come back and stay again.
The cabin was more than we could ask for for our little getaway. It had everything we needed and more. It's nestled in a wooded area which is so nice! We had a blast in the Hoodsport area!! We got married in the Olympic National Park just down the road from the cabin. Breath taking views. We will def be back. Thank you Carol!!
My family had a wonderful time staying here. Carol is a wonderful host! The cabin has everything you need. We enjoyed lots of chill out time on the porch and the nearby waterfront parks. Saw lots of deer right outside our window on several occasions. It is a lovely spot and we hope to be back.
My husband, 2 year old daughter and I had a really nice stay at camp Wolf. It was close to the water and we took advantage of the canoes and kayaks multiple times a day! We went when the weather was wonderful and lake cushman was closed to the public so the public beach was absolutely beautiful with very few people. It was easy to carry the kayaks and canoe the short way down the street.
The cabin is stocked with everything you could need which we greatly appreciated. We were coming off of a big van camping trip so we had our own bedding and important kitchen supplies but the house had these amenities.
It was great bringing our 2 year old to the playground and swimming area via kayak every day. She thought this was the best trip ever!!
Carol was great with communication. We canât wait to come back next year!
Got this place for my family to stay that came in from IL to come to my wedding at Big Creek campground a couple miles away. The location couldnât have been more convenient, and the cabin was absolutely perfect! Communication was great and my family was impressed with how well the cabin was stocked.
Would definitely recommend and stay again!!!
We had a great getaway to this log cabin that is well-furnished (including a well-stocked kitchen). The owner, Carol, went out of her way to communicate very well with us throughout, and has lots of generous touches (staples in the kitchen avoid the need to carry minor things with you, canoes/kayaks you can use, marshmallow roasting sticks for smores) that all make everything a little smoother. We'll come again!
Camp Wolf is a wonderful cabin in the perfect location. We were blessed to see several deer come up through the yard. The bed and furniture are comfortable. We didnt need to use the heater the whole time we stayed. Mr. and Mrs. Wolf are an amazing couple that went out of their way making sure everything was perfect. They are so kind, and very attentive to any needs you may have. The cabin is very well stocked and had everything we needed plus some.We hope we are able to visit again. Hopefully start a tradition...and maybe even bring the kids(adults kids)next time. There was plenty of room for a family to enjoy the stay. We couldn't have asked for more. THANKS CAROL. We had an amazing time!
We enjoyed our stay and Carol was very accommodating and caring to us. We enjoyed watching 3 deer graze around the cabin as we drank our morning coffee. The interior is very country cabin decor. It is as described. We drove to Hoodsport for supplies and free WiFi at the library 24/7. We hiked the Staircase Park areas which is up the road. Hiked around a closed camp ground a couple miles away also, it was October. Made bit farther drives to Hurricane Ridge and Hoh rainforest areas of Olympic National Park. Hope to return! Thanks again.
Loved the cabin and property! Beautiful trees, hearing the nearby stream at night, haven't slept that good in a long time. Everything you could possibly need is there, and has a really homey feel to it. Carol, will go out of her way to made sure all is well. Only 5 miles from Olympic national park. I highly recommend trying out the local trails there. Looking forward to making it out there again.
Comfortable cabin with everything you need very close to a beautiful Lake Cushman. Swimming and kayaking (kayaks at the cabin) a minute or two walk from the cabin. Quiet area with a creek running close-by. Mt. Ellinor with stunning 360 degrees views of Puget Sound and Olympics a short drive (and bit of a hike) away. Great, very helpful and responsive host. We could not ask for more.
