The room was ok,on ground floor, was woken up at midnight, by loud voices until 2:.30a m! Not conducive to a good stay,!however had booked a return night, which needed to changed, this proved a problem, the evening meal was alright.
Our stay wasn't brilliant as you can see from the photos
Shower was faulty couldn't have a proper shower as had to hold it while showering
Bedroom dated, marks all over the walls needs very much updating
We had to walk up 42 steps to get to our room carrying our baggage. The place is adequate but dated and the hot water difficult to adjust safely. A window in our room was ajar and there was rot and mold around the frame which caused us to leave it that way. There is no one attending the front desk as the person who checked us in did double duty in the restaurant. The food was fine.
First impressions of the hotel entrance and reception were a bit negative. It was like walking into a 1980s office that was very outdated and shabby, but it was clean, tidy and the receptionist who checked me in was great. Given how the reception was i was apprehensive about what my room would be like, but actually my room was great and the bed excellent which nuce linen and pilows. There was a strong smell of cleaning products as i entered my room which i did not like but after a while i forgot about this. All in all for the price i paid i was satisfied. The hotel is easy to find.
Did not get to book in never received any notification about the booking could not contact hotel so couldnât go didnât want to drive for couple hours only to find no room for us.
Had to cancel our weekend trip.
We always stay at the Raven when visiting my daughter in Odiham. Lovely hotel, clean and comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Plenty of parking space (free) and the bonus of the restaurant/pub being joined to the hotel.
