I hated carpet nail in the floor my so. Stepped on and I stepped on late at night going into the bathroom. Staff did nothing to fix or cover nails coming out the floor. Manager let a huge group of people use the pool room to drink alcohol eat food and they were smoking vapes inside. While uses all the furniture in there including to keep their things on. Pizza boxs and a whole cooler of alcohol glass bottles and all We went to the pool the manager came and told them they had to leave because we came in. Them people were mad a woman called someone just to tell them they got kicked out their party for only 3people. Me my son and my boyfriend. Most of them said bad thing about us as they took their time still drinking and smoking B4 they left. Then we left cuz I just wanted to cry over how rude they were to us cuz the break all your rules if we weren't there. It all made me sick to my stomach and went to sleep crying after the long awful day of driving I just wanted a break to relax and that didn't happen.. I did like the bed and breakfast.Nothing else it was an waste of over 200 to get a room with nails in the floor and to be treated so rude.

This hotel was very nice with a great view of the water. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Room was very comfortable. The breakfast was incredible with most everything individually packaged and kept very clean! The variety of breakfast options was great.

There is no elevator so something to keep in mind if you have trouble with stairs or lots of luggage. 2nd floor has no amenities like ice maker or vending machines - that is all of the lobby. Location is convenient to MTU and downtown Houghton. Pool was nice. In-house restaurant and lounge are no longer open.

Its very conveniently located & the lake view is really nice. This property needs to be more open about the fact that there is no elevator on this property. I watched older folks & people who are not as mobile struggling to get up to the 2nd floor. Also the property is older & could use an upgrade/refurb. Overall it's ok.
