When we arrived, we were “surprised “ and not in a good way, with an $80 deposit and also $29 per day parking charges! Also, we just went to Houston for a relaxing by the pool getaway and were really disappointed by the dirty pool, which we did not use because of that. The morning breakfasts were a nice perk which included a nice coffee bar with iced fresh lemon water. Overall, our stay was okay. Next time, we will stay somewhere with a few more amenities like room service, a clean pool, no hidden charges, and a bar/restaurant on site.

Lobby and outdoors nice. I booked months ago via Expedia for a king parlor with walkin shower for my disabled husband. At arrival, clerk said Expedia overbooked and they had no parlor suites, but wiuld put us in a standard room, even though i paid for the parlor. After an hour i realized the tub abd called back letting them know the room wouldn't work because my husband is disabled. Miraculously a parlor was canelled and available. I attempted to get ice on the 4, 3, and 2 floors, but none available...only on 1st floor. Moved to 502 and the carpet was stained throughout and dirty, the door's finish or contact paper had peeled on the interior...really bad, the furniture looked like it came from a 1970s thrift store. The was comfortable and clean.

Two mornings in a row eggs were not offered as part of the breakfast buffet. If the price of eggs is the problem, then add a surcharge, but to me, a full breakfast ALWAYS includes eggs. The full breakfast was one of the reasons I chose Hampton Inn. The very small fitness center had only one workout bench, with loose screws, which made it very unstable and dangerous to use. This is a potential injury and lawsuit waiting to happen.
