Exactly what I wanted! This rental was a great spot for gathering with family near our son's wedding venue. It gave us the space and comfort we needed to relax, visit, and enjoy time together. The house isnât perfectâlike any home, it has a few maintenance quirksâbut nothing that got in the way of a pleasant stay. In fact, having a private space to spread out and connect was far better than cramming into hotel rooms. We truly appreciated the convenience and warmth of this home during such a special time. The host, Jim, was available for any questions or concerns.
We enjoyed our stay and the location was perfect. However, we had to add water in order to use the pool and some of the furniture was broken or worn. A little tlc will make it a much better rental.
We stayed from July 29 to Aug 1 while attending the AAU Junior Olympics. The home appeared ideal at first, but the stay was uncomfortable and disappointing. The upstairs AC wasnât working properly the first nightâmy children slept in 82 degrees due to unclear thermostat instructions. No functioning TVs upstairs; one was unplugged and leaning against furniture, so we all shared one small TV on the main floor. The bathroom connecting my son and daughterâs rooms had no locks for privacy. My 72-year-old mother stayed in the downstairs master suite because she canât use stairs. Unfortunately, the shower and tub didnât work, so she had to wash up daily. There was a large hole in the bathroom floor and she encountered several roaches.I stayed across the hall in a room with no dresser or nightstand. I had to use a kitchen chair to place my CPAP machine.Furniture was scratched and worn, toiletries were used with peeling labels, and the kitchen had old, heavily used cookware. The pool area was not as pictured. The host responded to my AC concern but dismissed it, claiming there had been no prior complaints. For 1,800 for three nights, I expected better. I have photos to support everything in this review and too many more concerns to post here.
Stayed here with a few teammates for Ironman Texas. We were really looking forward to being able to cool off in the pool but it was so green that it did not look appealing to swim in and we didnât want to risk getting sick before the race. The hot tub was not functional and I didnât remember seeing it in the description, but it was so hot that we really wished we could have used the pool. The hot tub was attempted to be fix during our stay, but the wrong parts were sent. The house was clean. Host was quick to respond and even sent a blender when we couldnât locate one. Kitchen supplies were minimal, we had to buy a pot to boil water for pasta and left it there. Neighborhood was nice and at least 25 min drive to race site.
Very comfortable and relaxing! Beautiful home perfect for my family. Due to constant rain, sadly we were only in the pool a short time. Poolside with a cup of coffee, perfect morning.
Excellent start, Jim was very helpful with the question I had to ask. He explained everything. Nice neighborhood place was very clean Iâd recommend this spacious place to anybody.
I compared 20 similar listing in the greater Houston area & this place provided the best value for number of rooms & sqft of mansions with pools.I brought my own towels from bad experiences at other places & was impressed to see the owner provide fresh white towels in every room & stacks of different sizes in the laundry room. All fully loaded with toys & games for family / kids inside & out.Though with a few potential quick fixes:- Upstairs TV couldn't turn on- Fooseball table: 1 of the handles could be wood-glued -back onThe front door code intermittently wouldn't work - happened twice during our 3 day stay & locked us out for about 20 - 30 minutes. But all of the positives definitely outweight the few fixes & still a great place to stay.Thank you Jim!
The place is as described in the listing. It's very large and was able to fit our group of 10 easily for the weekend. It was only 10 minutes away from the wedding we were attending which made it worth while.Overall I rated this home 4/5 stars because although it met our needs and Jim got back to us quickly if we needed anything, it's just a pretty outdated home that could use some updates. To note a few things - there were a few cockroaches found throughout the weekend, the pool heater was accidently turned on so we really never used it and the dishwasher shelf was broken so we hand washed half the dishes (mostly all little things, just not the best place I've stayed). Again it was a good deal for us and met our needs, just keep in mind it will not be perfect.
Large, spacious house suitable for our 3 generation family, but furnishings rather tired and not as shown in photos. The outside space was rather neglected and not as appealing as shown in the photographs, which must have been taken some years ago. We had specifically requested a heated pool but were told that parts were on order. The outside area in general was rather shabby.
It was nice to have up to six sleeping rooms, 2 full bathrooms plus 2 additional toilets and sinks for a family group of adult siblings and spouses. Lotâs of room for all with plenty of eating space with dining room table along with a table in kitchen. There were also several inside conversation and sitting areas. The back patio area was great to sit and visit as well.
