The problems started before we even arrived. In the welcome email, I learned the upstairs toilet had been out of service since January. I booked in December and was never informed. Had I known, I likely would have chosen another property, as our group needed a working upstairs bathroom. When I reached out, I was told it was in the listing—even after I explained it was added after I booked.Check-in was scheduled for 4:00 p.m., but when we arrived, the cleaner was still there and didn’t finish until 5:00. We had to wait an hour and received nothing more than a “thank you for your patience.” The lack of customer service in both situations left a bad impression.The house itself was roomy and matched the photos. However, there was a large wet spot on the master bedroom rug that didn’t dry until morning. The living room couch was worn and stained. There was no hand towel in the powder room, so we had to use a washcloth from the master bathroom. The refrigerator leaked constantly, leaving a puddle on the kitchen floor that we had to keep cleaning up to prevent slipping.The backyard was also disappointing—only one broken chair, and the shed was left open with animals nesting inside. I also did not appreciate the repeated emails urging me to leave a 5-star review.
