The landlord was incredibly kind, responsive, and always willing to help with any questions we had. He was understanding and supportive throughout our stay. The experience was warm and relaxing a perfect getaway to enjoy quality time with family. Nestled on a mountain overlooking a peaceful lake, the setting offered the ideal escape from the modern world. Surrounded by trees and nature, we enjoyed birdwatching, occasional sightings of deer, and breathtaking views from the porch. With the gentle breeze and complete serenity, it was a true opportunity to unplug and reconnect with the natural world.
It's a decent boys trip - but awful for families. The building itself has some good bones, but needs a little more work. The hot tub clearly hasn't worked in a very long time, so don't believe it "might be working." Many of the screens for windows were broken or didn't fit so bugs were an issue as soon as we arrived. The bbq is in pitiful condition, propane was provided, but good luck cooking anything evenly on it.The downstairs oven's outlet connection is questionable at best - luckily there is one upstairs so we didn't risk burning the house down. The trip to the dock is down a long steep hill that is not safe for children or anyone not used to bush hiking. All the furniture at the dock is very run down and dirty - we did not trust sitting on itNone of the canoes and kayaks look like they were fit for the waterThe wifi was not set up. Owner said Bell would send someone, but they never cameThe hot water was not working when we got there - at some point during the stay the owner sent some one to fix it without telling me, or when the person was arriving. I only found out through a message saying the hot water should work nowThe coffee machine was left dirty, it took about 20minutes to clean without hot water. Some of the beds did not have linens: no duvet cover, pillow cases, etc.
