Big queue at check in. One lady, Janet, doing her best but clearly under staffed.

Great location, rooms were modernized but quite some time ago. Only 1 elevator working, lobby and exterior dated, but it is Scotland.
Double room was tiny and bed was hard against the wall on 1 side. Had to ask for side order for evening meal that didn't turn up and burger was dry and bland. Twice asked receiption about no heating in room but no one turned up and not resolved. Was told at breakfast that dining room was closed despite arriving 30mins before breakfast ended. No apology given, and lastly charging £15 for overnight hotel parking. Total lack of care and awareness from staff. Never to return here again
On checking in. Only 1 lift working took 25 minutes to get in the lift due to very busy.
Room was perfect apart from couldnt turn heating on.
Came down for Dinner in the Bar ordered a starter and mains went to Order Pigs un Blankets to be told not available. Normally when given a Menu you are told there and then if things are not available. ALL the food came out at the same time. Sent the mains back until we had finished the starter. Mains arrived were warm. Ate it as was not long out of Hospital and was hungry. Waited 25 minutes for someone to clear the plates and asked for pudding menu and another drink. Then waited 15 minutes for someone to take our order decided in the end to leave. 3 staff in bar working then 2 of them went and looked after a coach party in the dining room. Leaving 1 person doing nothing but the Bar.
Came down for Breakfast was lovely. One Waitress saw i wasnt great due to my Operation and said if i needed anything just to ask for Help. Very appreciative

A lot of Noise from outside in the street until 10.30. Room was cold. Kettle impossible to fill as no space for it inder tap.
Room was ok but noisy from stairwell door slamming and the very loud street noise and there was intermittent banging of a metal rail within building, alarms going off through out the night - windows definitely not sound proof

Tired hotel but great staff.
Beds were comfortable. Bar was great. The hotel itself was tired and in need of decorating inside and out. Carpets looked dour. Cobwebs hung from the bedroom ceiling. One of the 2 lifts was out of action for a day and a half. Rooms at the front were noisy with revellers outside until the early hours noting it was the weekend. Windows could be better glazed. To finish on a positive note, the staff were friendly and helpful, working hard.
Helpful staff, great breakfast, GREAT VIEW from room or the river, great shower! Great walkable location, great parking only 15 pounds a night. Worth it! We did a small room and it was perfect bc we pretty much just slept in the room and had great views the rest of the time we were there.
We had a room overlooking the street in front of the hotel. The loud noises coming from below often woke us through the night. When we asked to be moved we were told the hotel had ver few rooms with 2 beds. Those with 2 beds were at the front of the building. A staff member told me there was nothing they could do about the noise on the street. Our experience, otherwise, was very good. We loved the clean and comfortsble beds as well as the helpful and knowledgeable staff members. Overall our stay was good. The location was great.
Service in hotel restaurant was slow. Hotel then had water leak so turned off all the water to the entire hotel. No showers, no washing and no toilets. Made worse by a clueless receptionist who had no idea about anything and was happy about customers at this supposed top hotel wandering around Inverness trying to find a toilet. Even the typed notice forgot the word “sorry”.

Rooms are worn. Overpriced for what you get.
Poor shower.
Noisy clubs/ bars on the road so couldn’t sleep (stopped at 3am). Central but you pay for it!
No water the next morning so no shower/ toilet/ coffee. No management on site, no guest update or apologies, no bottled water available.
Breakfast run out of fresh ham, water, hot drinks.
Staff polite under challenging circumstances

We arrived around 9pm after a 12 hour train journey. The approach to the hotel from the railway station was down a street full of revellers.
On arrival we were allocated a room facing down the noisy street we had just walked down but were too tired to try to arrange an alternative room. The revelry continued till 4am with shouting, screaming, loud music and reving car engines.
We complained the following morning and our belongings were moved to a better room before our 2nd night.
Why oh why did the receptionist allocste the original room to a couple in their eighties who were obviously tired after a long journey\?
Other than the receptionist and one friendly memebrr of staff behind the bar, the service and friendleness of staff was poor. No staff at breakfast, no hot water for tea. One member of staff in the bar was unreal - openly moaning about us because we sat at a table that wasnt marked as reserved but apparently was so she decided to insult us in fron of other guests - delightful!
For the cost, below average decor & comfort, very basic and unwelcoming. Good location but its almost as if they dont need to try as there are so many tourists constantly booking. I will never stay there again.
