They provide the tiny soap "cookie" that is virtually impossible to open even with my very strong finger nails. You must use a knife or scissors. For this reason, I would not stay there again and this seems very guest unfriendly.

I stayed here for one night last fall when I was passing through which wasn't to bad and decided to stay again in a different room. Unfortunately for the rate, the quality of this particular room and the property in general is starting to look rather detiorated, lacks a good deep cleaning, and trashy and is definitely in need of some serious updating throughout.

1960 motel run by family which is better than it looks. The beds were very good, the temperature control was good; the bathroom was tiny but clean, the towels almost threadbare; poor parking lot and entrance condition, somewhat poor sound insulation. The owner is outstanding in service.

This is an older 17 unit motel that has been nicely updated. The bathroom had new wall tiles and flooring. Nice big showerhead and new taller super flush toilet. I loved that they kept the retro pink sink and tub! King size bed and wall tv...we watched the Olympics last night. It was immaculate. The rate was a bargain. I always like to stay in these smaller motels, not a fan of the big chain ones. And it's all on the ground floor and you park in front of the unit. The night before we were at a chain and the elevator was not working and we had to haul our suitcases up to the second floor. We are retired and way too old to be doing that! The Royal Motel was perfect for us.

Clean and quiet. Owner is very welcoming and friendly. You can tell he really cares how your stay goes. I would highly recommend for those traveling with kids that need a clean and safe place for an overnight.

I forgot to ask for the WiFi p/w. When I remembered it, the office was closed. Would suggest it be placed in the rooms on an information sheet. Nice amenities. Bath was clean, bed was clean and comfortable. Floor needed vacuuming. TV was difficult to operate. Minor items. Easy fixes.
