Unit is beautiful and very efficiently laid out. We ended up using the bunk beds as a storage area as suggested. While all of the units at Sea Cabins are small it was perfect for yhe two of us. The only issue we had was the parking lot was flooded after heavy rains. We had to walk through ankle deep rain water for muliple days. Not in control of the owners but something the condo association needs to address. However i would stay there again.
All in all it was very nice the only thing was the stairs for the elderly Iâm 68 and caring suite case up and down the stairs was a little bit much but I new the stairs was their when I rented it next time will try to get first floor
Loved the view and how close we were to the beach, great restaurants on the strip! Super close to everything you would want to do at the beach and in Charleston. Only complaint would be the construction on the condos below that began at 7 am on Mon/tues, this was not new construction as the demo had been done and there was a dumpster and materials in the parking lot. For what we paid I just wish we would have known about the construction ahead of time.
We will no doubt come back here. We loved having the private pier. Everyone that we came in contact with were the most friendly people we had ever met.
I was informed at 6pm the night that I was to check in that the air conditioner in the unit was broken, but that it should be fixed before we arrived (12-1am). I received no additional call so I assumed that it was fixed. It was not. We âsleptâ in 80+ degree heat and humidity that night.
I called the property manager around 6:30am and he said that the AC technician put Freon in the unit and decided that it was fixed since it blew cold air after that. Of course it would immediately after putting Freon in it. So the temperature was now rising because the sun had come up, my Labor Day long weekend vacation was being wasted with us trying to find another place to stay in the area which was hopeless because there is no same-day check-in and it was the Friday of Labor Day weekend.
We were finally offered another house that was not beach front (400 yards from the beach). We had to either accept that with zero refund or essentially pack up and go home. We spent the morning and afternoon of the first day of the vacation trying to find another place to stay then moving to another location and no refund was offered.
The house we moved to was nice and the accommodations were fine if that is what we wouldâve paid for. No pool and no private beach access, unless we drove (with all the beach supplies and a 2 year old) to the location that we had originally booked.
The trip ended up being okay, but I think that a refund for at least one night wouldâve been fair. I understand that the property manager, realty office, and owner of the property werenât totally to blame, but we essentially lost a whole 24 hours of a 3 day vacation for reasons that werenât in our control.
Iâve sent specifics (with pictures) to the property manager but the room was very dirty with soiled linens, several leftovers from the prior occupants and spider critters. Being a weekend we could not find another place to stay so we made the best of our stay. The private beach access was nice and access to the pool. The location is convenient to shops and several restaurants. We ate at the local Papiâs Taqueria and it was good. The place could be a gem with a good remodel and furnishings to bring it up a couple notches especially for the price. But if investing capital in this gem of a location is a concern a deep through cleaning, new linens and a spruce up can turn this place around.
