Fairy-Tale cottage, tastefully decorated inside and out, close to Ithaca and Cornell University. Would not hesitate to stay there again. Host was also lovely and super-responsive.
This property is located outside of Ithaca for a quieter vibe yet within a 5-10 minute drive from Cayuga Lake and downtown.
It was easy to navigate, great communication, and perfect for a girls getaway weekend!
Beautiful property, very easy checkin and the communication with the owner was great. Very close to town but far enough out where there isn’t a lot of commotion.
This was acquaint, cute and comfortable house! It was far enough out of Ithaca for peace and quiet yet very convenient to get to attractions and get necessary items. We would stay there again!
This cottage was perfect for our stay. Close to downtown and waterfalls. It had every accommodation we needed. Super pleased and would definitely come back!
Very nice place and we enjoyed our stay! Close to all the things we wanted to see and do! We did a lot in Ithaca and the west side of Cayuga Lake and the east side of Seneca Lake. Very cozy house and I loved all the plants! Thank you! My only complaint is- the lighting in the bathroom is not good at all.
We loved staying at the Timber Garden Cottage. It's beautiful and just a few minutes' drive from Ithaca. Communication with the host was fantastic. We hope to come back soon. : )
We loved our stay at the Timber Garden Cottage
It was close enough to downtown but too close. We loved being in the quiet outside of the downtown but loved we could fry to it easily. We will absolutely rent again when we go up to see our student.
We enjoyed our stay at Timber Garden Cottage. It was the perfect location for all the sightseeing we wanted to do, including Buttermilk Falls State Park, Robert H. Treman State Park, Taughannok State Park, the Sheldrake Winery, and the Fingerlakes Cider House. The cottage is thoughtfully decorated, cute, clean and comfortable!
This was a bakery and greenhouse business turned small cottage for 2-3 people. Just outside of Ithaca, not far from everything Ithaca has to offer. Beautiful windows and woodwork inside, with a nice loft area for sleeping.
This property is so centrally located! It's close to Ithaca proper as well as all the beautiful hiking areas. We were able to snowshoe at Buttermilk Falls, as well as hike to the falls at Taughannock State Park in one day! The place is bright and cheery and the host's responses were always prompt! We'd definitely would come back during Spring or Summer.
Over all we loved the rental! We slept well after we
hiked 3 water falls, and visited both Ithaca and Watkins Glen.
Several items could have better .... such as a Keurig with coffee cups instead of the "French Press" coffee. All & all we had a wonderful time!
My spouse and I stayed here for 2 nights to celebrate my birthday. The cottage was very cozy and we loved the post and beam interior and its unique decor. It is located on a busy road, but we really didn't notice the traffic noise while inside. It is conveniently close to Ithaca where we dined at the Ithaca Bakery (would recommend visiting there) and the Moosewood Restaurant, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The cottage is also very close to many beautiful waterfalls which we visited. All in all, a great place to visit and a really nice cottage to enjoy after our outings.
We had a wonderful time. The house is beautifully crafted and spacious. We enjoyed the outdoor patio next to the gardens with a glass of wine. The location is perfect - close to downtown Ithaca, but far enough away that you don't know its there. Close to the lake and many wineries and breweries. We had a nice time at Bet the Farm Winery, which is just a skip down the side road. We also enjoyed Knapp Winery, Goose Watch Winery, Liquid State Brewery, Buttermilk Falls and Taghaunick Falls. We hope to come back again!
This was our second most enjoyable stay at the Timber Garden Cottage and it won't be our last. This well-appointed place is away from it all, yet conveniently close to anything you'd like to do in Ithaca, Seneca Falls or Aurora. You'll find everything as pictured & described in the listing. There's a library of books to choose from should it rain. Outside there's a table & chairs where you can watch the sun rise with a cup of tea. Later in the day there's a firepit & charcoal grill to use should you choose. Audra has done an excellent job curating a peaceful retreat where we we've been able to refresh & recharge.
