Crappy bed

Nice use of space but the Murphy bed was crap!!! I slept horribly. AND who want to have to make up a bed when they pay for a room at the beach?? Not me. I was so dissatisfied that I left the property yesterday morning and didn’t even use my second night. Horrible. I won’t be back!

Great location and wonderful views! We just wanted to be on the beach and this delivered! We also like to make our own breakfast and the kitchen appliances were there to get us started (coffee pot, toaster, etc). Everything was clean; the shower was great! Communication with the host was easy. Check-in and out were smooth. Highly recommend.

Nice view but DO NOT recommend

The view from the room was great, but when I arrived, there were lots of people hanging around the gate, a bit sketchy, especially later in the evening.Privacy was not the priority. Sent a message to the owner (very responsive) regarding the broken blinds and my concern for a lack of privacy, as there is a shared balcony that anybody can walk by and look into the room. They stated they knew about the broken blinds and didn’t think it was a big deal as they had blackout curtains over the blinds, but the curtains did not cover the entire window/overlap to eliminate gaps. While laying in bed, I could clearly see outside to the balcony. This issue was resolved the next day, however, why wait until the guest points this out?My other major complaint is that it does not mention a Murphy bed. There is a photo of it and the room is listed as a one bed/studio, but there is no description that there is a Murphy bed that requires the guest to set it up. I would not have booked this room if mentioned a Murphy bed as I know how uncomfortable they are (slept three hours tossing and turning the first night). There were blood stains on the mattress protector, which was also remedied the next day but again, why wait until the guest points the issue out?There were also other minor issues I would not have minded if not for the mentioned issues - toilet paper holder was half out of the wall, rust, & peeling ceiling.Ultimately, I decided to book elsewhere after the first night.

Adorable place on the Beach

Loved the location, and the owners had wonderful directions for everything we needed. The negative about our experience wasn't really their fault--the security gate would not always open, not on the way out, not on the way in, and we didn't even need a code to get out. The gate just wouldn't open about half the time.

Quite place

The others staying at the property were quite It was a great experience. Nice access to the beach, pool looked nice and quite. Check-in was easy, checkout was just as easy.The bed was ok, but all in all it was a wonderful stay. Everything went seamless. Thank You for a wonderful weekend away!

Perfect

Beautifully updated studio apartment. Clean with nice finishings. Perfect for solo travelers or couples. The pull out bed was comfy even for my 6’4” husband. But the star of the show was really the views from the deck. Unbeatable sunrises and views. We did not want to leave. We spent all our time either on the direct access beach, on the deck overlooking the beach, or sitting in front of the window with the beach view. Quiet not overpopulated neighborhood. Walking distance to the Jacksonville pier. Would recommend and would stay here again.

Walked away

The unit was not as advertised. It's a pull-down bed that the rented has to make. Everything is cramped and not what was expected. Additionally, the AC was down and the unit had a contraption that blew air so powerfully that it really bothered my wife. After much consideration we decided not to stay there and contacted the rental couple to advise them of our decision. They offered a discount but we refused. Unless we receive a full credit we will be forced to file an official complaint with a range of authorities.

Perfect beachside getaway

This was a perfect, cozy little getaway for our t weekend, valentine's vacation. Very clean quiet. Really enjoyed the view of yhe ocean with the large sliding window that we kept open while we were in the room. The murphy bed was comfortable and easy to use. The battery remotes were all dead and the window could have used a screen to keep the bugs out.Those were the only small inconvenience. Fantastic property overall!

Quick Getaway

My husband and I stayed for three nights at A Wave from it all for a quick trip for the Jaguars v Titans game. The property was in the perfect location, just steps to the beach, was very clean and we definitely would stay at this property again.

4th Stay, better than OK!

We keep coming back to this property. It is a great, quiet location central to the fun of Jax beaches and the city. It is small, but just right for two. The hosts always have everything clean and ready and make checkout a breeze. Looking forward to our next visit.

The property delivered on everything that it promised! The views of the beach and sunrise were magnificent. The property was beyond clean and aesthetic. The property is a bit small but it was just my husband and I. We were comfortable. We, especially appreciated the central location of the VRBO.

Beautiful and Convenient Location

The property was in a convenient location and close to many amenities. It was nice to wake up, walk out on the deck, and see the sunrise. The view of the beach at night was also spectacular.
