Loved the sense of privacy. Pool and hot tub were clean and in working order. Place needs a new dishwasher though. Existing one is disgusting. Also, regarding pots and pans and lids. Please pitch everything and replace. Except maybe one pot and one lid that were worth using. Everything else was not worth using at all. If it was my place, I would replace the electric cooktop with a gas cooktop. If it wasn't for these items, I would have rated as 5 stars.
The property is in a great quiet neighborhood. Easily accessible to everything on the island. For some reason the GPS map had a hard time finding it and kept taking us to the house behind it. The house was clean and well stocked with towels and lots of pool toys!! The bathrooms could use some freshening up. The curtain rod was rusty and the tub had chunks missing, but would definitely rent again!
We loved everything about this vacation house except the beds. The mattresses need to be upgraded other than that we have no other recommendations. Highly recommend!
Very easy to get to. The home needs a lot of updating. There was a pot of wires that were hanging from the ceiling above the glass door and windows. The pictures on-line showed the house windows in great shape but they were not. They need replacing as they canât be cleaned due to age and condition. The master bedrooms mattress is uneven as it sinks really bad in the middle. The pool needs resurfacing and and decks need power washed as well as the house exterior. The outside needs a good yard cleaning also. The outdoor porch needs cleaning itâs a mess where people have left old pool toys and floats very dirty. One of the AC units was inoperative and we found the contact disconnected for the power to the unit. PVC piping for AC condensation in laundry room came apart allowing water to drain on the floor we fixed this issue also. Pool not cleaned when we arrived along with gas grill bottle being empty. Not what was advertised.
Management company responded to inquiries promptly before booking but once I was onsite with an issue took 24 hours to respond about the poor condition of the pool (which was the determining factor of my decision to book this property). Thereâs a piece of paper on the fridge that states the pool is cleaned on Saturday (it hadnât been for my trip) but thereâs no notice about the yard crew coming on Tuesday. The lack of communication here (something as simple as a note) would help to ensure that pets arenât allowed to escape when the crew opens the gates. My experience was that the management company is not friendly (they called after I reported an issue but when I elaborated there were more issues, I was immediately cut off and the call ended) nor do they appear to care about the condition of the property. (They tried to send a handy man to clean the pool with a net that had a hole in it. Finally they sent the appropriate personnel but was only able to enjoy the pool for a few hours throughout my 4 day stay due to the delays).
The property was everything we needed. The location and amenities were great. This time of year, with the trees shedding, the pool probably needs to be maintained 2 x weekly but other than that, it was perfect. The response from the property management was amazing. Thank you for an awesome vacation!
The backyard is a tropical oasis. Yes, the house is older (but owner is working on updates) and for us that was all part of the charm. If the pool is important to you note the fees and plan ahead. Be prepared (at least this time of year) for the leaves, but again charming. The property management is first rate and is working on making the pool more user friendly.Thelocation is quiet at the end of a dead end cul-de-sac and is convenient by car but unless you want to work on your steps plan on driving to the beach. The fenced in yard is great for dogs and children. All in all a lovely stay for three adults , three teens and a 50 pound dog.
This property was really cool. We stayed there for a week to partake in the Amelia concourse. The location is fantastic and the neighborhood is nice. The house itself is old, and pretty well taken care of. I do have a couple pieces of feedback. 1, the pool takes several days to heat up, so if you want to use the pool when it's cold, set up the heating request in advance, so you can actually use the pool. 2. The windows in the back seem to have failed and have condensation all inside and need replaced. 3. We couldn't find any spare trash bags or TP, or extra linens. This was a great visit! And a really cool house.
This was a lovely house very quiet location the property overall was comfortable and clean check in and check out was easy the only feedback I would share to better prepare others is that you have to pay an additional fee to heat or use the spa that is not listed on the main booking page it was $200 for the spa and use had to be limited before 9:30 p.m.
The pictures do not do this backyard justice! It is beautiful and relaxing. Just what my group needed after our walk. The communication with property management was responsive and helpful. We appreciated all their help.
Great house for your vacation on Amelia Island. The house was very comfortable. The fenced in back yard was perfect for our dog. The pool as very nice as well.
Paradise Cove was as advertised. More than enough room for 5 adults and a toddler. Liked that the entire downstairs was tile. The decor is older, but that was fine with us. The house was clean and spotless when we arrived. Our 2 dogs had a great time in the huge, fenced backyard with plenty of shade. The pool was relaxing and we spent a lot of time out there. The screened porch/pool house was a nice addition. Moore Amelia Island even brought some corn hole bags to us when we found they were missing. The house is less than a mile from Peterâs Point beach access where there is plenty of public parking, boardwalks to the beach, showers, bathrooms and picnic shelters). The section of the beach was great as well (not very crowded at all). Paradise Cove was a great value and perfect get away for our family. We will stay at Paradise Cove again if it is available.
Property had a nice quiet location. The inside was outdated and outside needed pressure washed, and the landscape had been neglected. Bare minimum essentials provided. For the price, it was disappointing.
The property was very clean, centrally located on the island with easy access to north and south Amelia Island as well as Harris Teeter being minutes away. The pool and pool house were a great plus for the family. We enjoyed our meals in the pool house while the kiddos swim and swam and swam!
What a great place for a family getaway. We enjoyed horseback riding and offshore fishing, great food at Salty Pelican and Salt Life Food Shack. Also visited Fort Clinch great history lesson for us all.
Highly recommend Happy Trails Walkers horse back riding at Amelia State Park, Us girls loved our experience there while the guys went offshore fishing with Beat The Oddz Charters.
Moore Amelia Island Rentals were great to work with quick and thorough response to questions. We are looking so forward to our next visit to Amelia Island!
The owner, Chasta Moore, was wonderful - communicative, responsive, professional. While the property itself was not exactly all that we had hoped it would be, I would rent one of her other properties in the future.
