The Guesthouse at Stone Leaf Farm:

Perched along the crest of the Catoctin Mountains and nestled in a quiet wooded setting, Stone Leaf Farm is a peaceful, private mountain retreat designed for rest, connection, and intentional escape from everyday noise.

Thoughtfully curated forest views, natural light, and refined comfort create a setting that feels both grounded and quietly luxurious. Just under a mile from the Potomac River, the property feels peaceful and secluded, yet remains minutes from historic canal towns, local markets, dining, shopping and nearby wineries.

The Guesthouse has been thoughtfully re-imagined into two distinct luxury accommodations with the Luxury Mountain Cottage (upper level) booked at a nightly rate and the Luxury Mountain Suite (lower level) (available in the Spring) as an optional stay-based add-on. Adding the Suite provides exclusive use of the entire guesthouse for one flat fee. Ideal for guests wanting extra space, adult families, or guests seeking additional privacy during longer stays. Additionally, to enhance comfort and convenience we offer a host of complimentary items for your stay including essentials like toiletries (shampoo, soap, bodywash, tissue, towels, linens, etc.), snacks (local treats, coffee, water, etc.), and practical items such as first-aid and local guides to create a thoughtful, memorable experience.

Comcast OnDemand, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu and access to other premium cable channels FX+, HBO, HITZ, Showtime, Starz, Streampix, The Movie Channel and much more. For Sports Entertainment you will be able to watch your favorite sports team: there’s NFL Red Zone with hundreds of live games, from college basketball, football, soccer, tennis and more. For any activities on the property such as the use of the pool, fire pit, etc. each guest will have to sign an accident waiver and release of liability form.

Comfort Food Snacks and Drinks Available: Enjoy a host of complementary items in the kitchen fridge and pantry. Satisfy your comfort food cravings with these easy, feel-good hearty favorites, like macaroni & cheese, potato chips, ritz crackers, flavored oatmeal, raisins and more. Feel free to have a bottle of water, a coke or sprite or a can of Starbucks Double Shot Energy Mocha. You are allowed one complimentary bottle of wine! There are other complimentary items in the fridge and pantry for your use. We ask guests to be mindful and/or reasonable as complementary items are made available to guests during their stay.

The Luxury Mountain Cottage (upper level) is rented at a nightly rate and offers a complete, self-contained retreat ideal for couples, solo travelers, or extended stays, and adventure-minded guests alike. Guests seeking additional space and privacy may enhance their stay by adding the Luxury Mountain Suite (lower level) (available in the Spring) for a one-time flat rate—creating exclusive use of the entire guesthouse.

Guests can explore wooded nature trails, visit nearby waterfalls, gather around the fire pit circle, or unwind in their private outdoor space. The property offers a peaceful setting shaped by seclusion and ease, with keyless gated entry, on-site parking, laundry facility, optional early check-in or late checkout and a seasonal pool. Each space has a central air heating and cooling system.

The Vacation Rental(s):

Stone Leaf Farm offers two distinct luxury accommodations designed to provide privacy, comfort and a refined mountain experience. The Luxury Mountain Cottage occupies the upper level of the building, while the Luxury Mountain Suite occupies the lower level.

The luxury mountain cottage has a private entrance. This 1,100 sq. ft efficiency space is located on the upper level of the building and will be ideal for your stay. The upper level has a Large Great Room that measures 26’ x 22’, a vaulted ceiling, an upstairs Loft and a massive arch style “mill window” with views of the Forest and Japanese Garden. The Loft overlooks the Great Room and is a charming area uniquely designed as a quiet space for meditation, reflection, reading or prayer.

The upper-level cottage has a modern kitchen, with 2 pantries and a full luxury bathroom. Comfortably sleeps up to 4 Guests and offers plenty of sleeping and sitting space. There is a king size bed, two large very comfortable couches of which one can be turned into a queen size bed and an air mattress. The air mattress is provided for additional guests.

The Kitchen and Bathroom are separated from the living area. The kitchen has a gas range, microwave, toaster oven, refrigerator, dishes and cookware. The kitchen has plenty of counter space for food prep and casual dining. The dining area has a table with four comfortable chairs, a fixed bar table with 2 stools for quick meals or used as a buffet.

The sitting area is furnished and has a TV with internet access. Relax and enjoy your favorite network tv apps (Netflix, Prime, HBO, Disney). When accessing network tv apps, you are required to sign in and log out of your accounts. There is a private bathroom, shower and closet space for linen and towels.

The Luxury Mountain Suite (Lower-Level):

The luxury mountain suite has a private entrance. This 325 sq. ft efficiency space is located on the lower level of the building. Carefully designed smart living space, perfect for a minimalist lifestyle. The main room seamlessly blends sleeping, living and dining areas, with a comfortable full-size bed and built-in storage shelves, maximizing your living space.

Comfortably sleeps up to 2 Guests and offers plenty of sleeping and sitting space. The designated living space boasts a plush lazy boy rocking recliner, a coffee table and a wall-mounted TV, while a small, round dining table with two chairs sits near the window, providing natural light and scenic views.

This unit has a modern kitchen design with a charming Caldera kitchenette featuring a European refrigerator-freezer, an induction cooktop, a stainless-steel sink with faucet, microwave, toaster oven, dishes, cookware and ample cabinet storage and counter space for food prep. A wardrobe armoire offers ample space for storing clothes and the separate, private bathroom includes a luxury shower, toilet and vanity.

The sitting area is furnished and has a wall TV with internet access. Relax and enjoy your favorite network tv apps (Netflix, Prime, HBO, Disney). There is closet space for linen and towels. It’s a stylish, self-contained unit where every square foot counts!
